Live Webcam Stream of Tsunami from Kaimu Beach
In trying to find a way to view pictures of the tsunami as it happens and goes on, I nad found a stream on UStream positioned at Kaimu Beach, next to Volcanoes National Park on the Big Island. That is no longer on air, so I am showing Hawaii News Now via CBS News on Ustream.

This is pretty cool…except for the network “experts” who keep trying to hype the situation. The Hawaiian weather guy said three times that the water is receding, but the CBS woman yammered on about how the water is rising. Brilliant.
This is going to be……wait…Win McMurray’s on the screen…this is going to be pretty interesting when the waves start rolling in.
"this ball will fit in that fairway"
Aloha......
My day started with a frantic phone call from my son at 3:30am warning us of the Tsunami headed for us. Since our room is only a half sand wedge from the water, I was a little concerned. We were evacuated at 7am and spent the day at the clubhouse for the Weiskopf(?) course. The evacuation was excellent and everyone was just sitting waiting for the water to arrive. When the designated time arrived……nothing happened….no wave, no rising water…we were spared and so was my 9am tee time on the Nicklaus course tomorrow(I know that’s shallow)….but it was an interesting experience and we are now awaiting the “I survived the 2010 Tsunami” tee shirts to go on sale. Thankfully nothing happened and know one was hurt. Gotta go eat.

I would love to get your recommendations when you get back. I’ve never been, but planning a family vacation there in early 2011.
