Fellow SB Nation Site Hosting Charity Golf Event in August
The guys at SB Nation's Boston College site BC Interruption contacted me about a charity golf tournament that they're running in August. It's held in honor of their friend Andrew Marsh, who passed away after a two and a half year battle with melanoma.
From their posting on the tournament:
To honor the memory of our dear friend, Andy’s family and friends are pleased to announce the first annual Andrew C. Marsh Fund Golf Tournament, to be held on August 5, 2010 at Dunegrass Golf Club in Old Orchard Beach, Maine. All proceeds benefit the Andrew C. Marsh Memorial Fund going towards educational scholarships and the fight against cancer.
The August 5, 2010 event includes an 18-hole shotgun format golf tournament followed by a cocktail hour, silent auction, dinner and dance. The event is open to all, and promises a crowd of 200-300 people ranging from local business owners and health care professional to friends and family across the country from the Cheverus High School, Boston College and Roger Williams Law School communities.
And if you can't/don't want to play in the golf outing, they have a nice silent auction as well.
Take a look when you get a chance!
