Loudmouth Golf Just Opened Their Curling Pants Division

Walk into a bar in the next couple of weeks and mention the Winter Olympics. I'll bet you $20 that someone will say that their favorite sport is curling. Yeah, they don't know the rules, but they love brooms and a big heavy thing skating across the ice.

Also, I'll bet that if you go "double or nothing" with that same person to name their top three favorite golfers, John Daly would be mentioned. (After Tiger and Joe Ogilvie.)

Put the two together and you get what has been uncovered at the Sportress of Blogitude: Norwegian curlers wearing Loudmouth Golf pants.

What a great idea! There's no dress code in curling (big mistake), so the Norwegians took advantage by playing in Loudmouth's Dixie A style of pants.

You know, Daly and the Norwegian curlers have more in common than just their pants. If you saw Real Sports with Bryant Gumbel (to Gumbel) and their look at the US Olympic curling team, then you know the kind of athleticism and training required for the sport. A diet of beer, McDonald's, and cigarettes.

Hey, wait, that's John Daly's training regimen.

How about the medal ceremony for the men’s moguls and the Canadian kid on the top step ? I was surprised that Canada had never won gold on home soil. That was one proud room singing “O Canada”.

Did you happen to see The Simpsons this past Sunday ? Homer and Marge win the first medal for mixed team curling as a demonstration sport. “Woohoo ! We’re going to Vancouver ! Canada’s warmest city !”
