Waggle Room Announces Video Interviews With LPGA Stars
Waggle Room today announces an agreement with the LPGA Tour to produce a video interview for every LPGA Tour event this season. To be known here as LPGACam, the interview will be conducted by editor Ryan Ballengee with an LPGA Tour player, live from tournament site, over webcam. Some interview questions will be cultivated from fans at Waggle Room, giving fans an opportunity to get to know the ladies of the LPGA Tour.
The first interview will be conducted from the season opening Honda PTT LPGA Thailand event, a limited-field event in which Lorena Ochoa will star as defending champion.
The interviews will be available here at Waggle Room, YouTube, and the LPGA Tour also has rights to the videos for use on LPGA.com and as they see fit.
The proof of concept video that gives readers a sense of what to expect came when LPGA Tour star Christina Kim, up-and-coming pro John Raser, and Ballengee conducted a video interview after their match in Orlando several weeks ago.
"This is an exciting opportunity for Waggle Room to get to share the depth of talent and personalities on the LPGA Tour," says Waggle Room editor Ryan Ballengee. "Our readers will be able to experience the LPGA Tour in a very unique way. As a blog that is continually trying to push the envelope on integrating technology with golf, we're excited to have a partner like the LPGA Tour, which really values sites like ours."

Great news. Can’t wait for the interviews. Very cool that LPGA is moving in this direction.

LPGA Tournaments
Ryan
Can I ask a question on the LPGA ?
Do they close off their practise days to the public at all their tournaments ?
I am here in Pattaya just now (have already bumped in Natalie :-) ) , and for the third straight year practise days are closed to the paying public.
And as usual , come Thursday , I expect all the players will be commenting on the amount of photography that takes place on competition days (especially Miss Kim !)
Its hardly surprising , considering this silly rule !!!
I have tried writing to the LPGA about this before , but got no answer .
Just wondering ?
A lot of that stuff is at the discretion of the tournaments themselves, particularly on the LPGA Tour. The LPGA owns very few of its events (and even one that they own isn’t on the schedule right now). So, it’s basically up to who owns/runs the tournament.

I hope so – I think there’s a lot of applications for this!
