Happy Festivus! Chance "for the rest of us" to play golf with Tiger Woods

December 23 -- What better way to celebrate Festivus (For the Rest of Us) than with a come-on offering a chance to tee it up with Tiger Woods in Dubai? You don’t have to have the usual deep pockets to play in Tiger’s Dubai Desert Classic pro-am fivesome in February, just the ability to hit the ball occasionally.
Here’s the deal: Dubai wants to boost interest in the event and golf in the United Arab Emirates in general, so organizers have opened up a slot in Woods’ group to any amateur in the world who has a valid handicap. That means women must carry at least a 26 and men an 18, and the golf is free. Not many grievances to air about that.
Woods will play in the European Tour event after a two-year absence due to is 2008 knee woes and, you know, last year. So, if you would like to shake some sand out of your FootJoys in February, register here. Organizers will notify the lucky winner two weeks prior to the February 9 tourney at the Emirates Golf Club.
Oh, wait. You may have a grievance to air, after all: No word on whether you have to cough up the dough for airfare.

by time of the event, …cars won’t be allowed…..only donkeys….you know…Jack Asses…..and if Chip-n-p were to enter and win, she would have to wear one a them long black thingies, and cover her face so only her eyes showed……I think it would be tough to swing a cllub wearing that stuff…..What I want out of the whole deal, is the deoderant consession…..I bet the ladies do a whole lot a sweatin under them black things…..Oh yea, I also want the razor blade stand, cause they (the women)….will need lots of them to shave their beards and pits with…..jis sayin mind ya…..STUB
From a Dubai resident: Female Dress Code In Dubai
Dubai is more westernised than the west itself.
Dress how you would back home – appropriate to the place your going……. bikini on the beach, casuals while shopping, smart casual for dinner/disc.
You may find that people dress quite smart/well for the disc and upmarket restaurants.

So in my best effort at mature-speak……Wendy dear, your comment was extremely humorous and an efficient rebuttal to Mr. Thinker’s, (a.k.a. until I was forced to accept that my posts were misinterpretated w/o them. Simply put, I sounded like a snotty Brit. unless I made absolultely clear that I was joking wth such signals. Even so, I’ve been to Dubai …….and STUB hasn’t.
