lets not even go there……:)
The Saints ARE the SUPER BOWL CHAMPS....WHO DAT!
Sports Story of the Year ?
Hence for the wrong reasons. Sports story of the year should be awarded for a positive accomplishment ONLY. This award wreaks of IMG/Nike/AP/Ferguson throwing a bone to team tiger to keep his name in the news. JMHO
"pain is only weakness leaving the body"
I would have thought that this would be the last thing that ‘Team Tiger’ would want. Why on earth would they want any more negatives in a year that’s been overflowing with them?

Yesterday was quite a day.
Played 18 in the 68 degree warm up on the Stadium Course at Sawgrass. Didn’t tee off until 12:30 pm waiting for the warm up. I played fair at best shooting a 83. Highlight of the day, (besides playing with Lumpy and others I can’t mention) was my birdie on the 17th island hole. Dropped in my putt from from 60 ft or so. The Christmas Party last night was awesome and as I have been saying all along, “What gets said on on TV during an interview with the cameras rolling by players is a lot different than what gets said candidly at a social gathering” LOL Lots of interesting gifts being handed out last night and if ya need a last minute gift idea here is one,

Best gift I received last evening was a Callaway, Hickory Shaft, Little Poison putter.
Good Times, Good Friends and Good Holiday Cheer.

Sounds like a great time.
83…not bad at all, especially in that tough competition. I would like to be a fly on the wall at one of those functions.

Might have to play Sawgrass one day
If I ever get there. Not a fan of the course, but the 17th is interesting.
May I Mention How Much I Hate You?
I am kidding, of course, but a mere 500-odd miles north it was snowy in the morning and later a 34° drizzle for the rest of the day.
That and I was stuck in a bunker in a videocon all…day…long. Then I got to do all my normal work, which I finally stopped doing around 1am. Yep, it’s all fun and games when your company merges with another.

-3 here today ( York )
the newest snow surge has missed us here so far. Some of the courses were even open today. I might be tempted to get in 9 holes…even though the ground is frozen.
Freezing and A Bit Windy on Sunday
All eyes will be on Stamford Bridge in W London around 11 or so, and it should be nippy and biting, to say the least. The weather will be raw too, but United and Chelsea may decide the top of the table for the season, so it’s going to be a battle.

Chelsea looked so strong 2 months ago.
Lampard is back…he and Terry are the backbone of the team. Without them, they lose a lot of that. United, as much as I hate to say it, as ever, are there. Liverpool better get things right in the next 5 years or i don’t think they ever will return to the summit .
I am picking United 2-1
Sunday would be a fine day for Wayne Rooney to get his Wazza back, and given his love of the dramatic on the big stage I think it very possible that he just might. Berbatov is ever the threat, especially if Chelsea chooses to mark Rooney tight…and there’s always Chicharito if Sir Alex decides in the 60th minute that Rooney or Berba are cold. That kid is going to be a big star, wait and see. I just hope that Real Madrid doesn’t grab him up in two years.
Anyway, I think the United front duo scores at least one and probably two, though it wouldn’t surprise me to see Nani put one of the sheet. He’s due.
The reason I am picking United is the way that they shut down Arsenal this past Monday. The Gunners always seem to cool off with the weather, but still, they simply could not penetrate the United back wall and make van der Sar make a tough save. Really the best they got was a 3/4 chance, and even after that one (in the 75-85 minute range IIRC) Rooney was off the races on a counter because Arsenal had pinched in trying to outnumber the Reds’ defense.
If MU plays defense like that Sunday, Chelsea’s woes continue, simple as that. And United will be solid at the top 6 clear of them…which for Blues fans is not a good thing, because we all know what United usually does in after the new year.

the last 6 seasons
these two have won 3 each. Nothing is certain. Rooney has been an idiot. He always plays better deep in my opinion, but his private life is still an issue.
Matches postponed!
Pitches are not so bad, but snow is too deemed too deep for supporters to make their way to matches.
Not all bad news, though, as means I can watch S.A. Open most of the day(& Robert Rock).
Not you too!
(“Just leave the man alone, woman”). A good 5th place and a good start to the year.
Q. “Just what is it about this Rock bloke that you like then”.
In the interests of marital harmony – friends
A. I lied.
lol charles
It hasn’t been all Sunshine and Lollypops here in Ponte Vedra either. We had one night of 37 degrees and one night of 38 degrees. Very very cold by florida standards. Watching the news I saw people wearing ski hats, mittens and jackets at Disney. Not so happy vacationers. LOL Going to be 71 here the next 2 days but raining all weekend.
Monday I’m headed up to New England for Christmas and I’m told its been between 10-35 degrees.. brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
Still waiting on my shrimp….hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
"pain is only weakness leaving the body"
Yep We Floridians Consider 50 Really Cold
I can well remember the times it would get cold at home (Cocoa Beach) and how if it was in the 40s we thought hypothermia was going to kill us before we could walk from the front door to the car.
I have sworn to my wife that I am retiring where there is NO winter. She asked me where and I told her to look at our finances, get out a map and choose a nice spot on the ocean between 20°N and 20°S on the map. “The Tropics?” she asked…to which I replied that the FWI or the USVI was fine by me.

I know some people that prefer snow !
I think they are crazy. Asthma sufferers, I can understand it. But non sufferers are crazy ! They are not into winter sports either.
True, I Know Folks Like That Too
Cold air is condensed and thicker than warm, and on top of that, it’s dry, so it’s pleasant for those with asthma.
Me, I have pollen problems and seaside living alleviates it like nothing else can.
