Alexis Thompson joins Twitter -- with pitch for Red Bull
December 15 -- She may not be old enough for LPGA Tour membership, but Alexis Thompson has joined the Twitter club -- with a pitch for her sponsor.
“Hi! Today is my first official day on Twitter! Follow me on my journey…It will give you wings!” @AlexisThompson posted early Wednesday afternoon.
The fingerprints of her management team at Blue Giraffe Sport (which retweeted her opening chirp) were all over the inauspicious start to Thompson’s Twitter career as a shill for energy drink Red (“It will give you wings”) Bull. Shortly after her debut, the firm (@BlueGiraffeSprt) followed up with a tweet of its own, urging tweeps to “follow [Lexi’s] journey.”
Certainly, the 15-year-old golf phenom, who makes headlines on and off the course, plays a stellar game inside the ropes and has a journey worth following. But, the teen sensation’s handlers may want to help boost her online persona if they hope to have her plant her golf flag on the Twitterverse. After all, while @IanJamesPoulter may not be above a bit of product-pushing, he and @WestwoodLee have set a decidely high standard with their non-stop cyber trash-talking.
Those guys have put up a target that even golf’s No. 2 @TigerWoods has been unable to reach.

Well THERE are some nice, supporive things to say about a 15 year old just learning her way around the professional golf and marketing world…..oh wait…no they weren’t. Those were pretty much snarky cheap shots.

lol – of course not
quick radio survey about who the Falcons would least want to play in January – still comes out…The Saints. Giants are beat up, Iggles are getting that way…and Brees is still the scariest QB in the league.

The Birds are very scary....
they remind me of the Saints last year. They find a way to win, which is unfortunate for us, and they are rolling. The Saints are rolling too. I fully expect the Saints and Falcons in the NFC championship game….should be wild!
The Saints ARE the SUPER BOWL CHAMPS....WHO DAT!
Problem is, we have one more regular season face-off up here in Atlanta. Falcons win, they pretty much wrap up a bye week in the playoffs. Saints win, there are a boatload of tiebreakers that come into play down the stretch. Falcons win, they face the prospect of having to beat the Saints three times in one season to get through the playoffs. YEESH !

Well, we've got to worry about the Ravens in Baltimore this
week-end, then we can worry about trying to have that boatload of tiebreakers come into play. I think you have all the tie breakers…..we need you to lose twice in the last 3….that won’t happen.

right now we have the tiebreakers because we won down there. – it’s going to be a fun last few weeks of the season.

Holy dead pigs sewin into
balls….is this a golf blog, or a discussion of the girls league….shoot a mighty….yud a thunk that if’n ya stuck yur helmut in there one two man times, all ya had to do was ……what the hell were we talking about ? oh yea, what was that agin?….STUB
Jist caws them Tay-has teams ain’t gittin the job dun…. (lol)
And just to show how well rounded we can be in here…did you see Sing-Off tonight ?
Holy Cow – what a show !
If you didn’t see this show, pull up NBC.com/sing-off and listen to at least the last four songs. The Backbeats did “Landslide” from Fleetwood Mac, Streetcorner Symphony did “Down on the Corner” from Creedence Clearwater Revival, Committed did “Let’s Stay Together” from Al Green, and Jerry Lawson & Talk of the Town did “House of the Rising Sun” from The Animals.
All four groups were so good, they couldn’t eliminate any of them. And I can’t disagree with that decision.
