Poulter & Johnson Shoot 59 to Win Shark Shootout
Dustin Johnson and Ian Poulter sprang to action from the first tee shot in the final round of today's Shark Shootout in Naples, Florida, and never looked back. For their win, they earned $750,000, not a bad payday for a Silly Season "hit-and-giggle" affair.
Johnson and Poulter took the lead with four straight birdies off of the first tee. Once they grabbed the lead, they were never in any danger of losing, and ended their day by finishing at 30-under 186 at Tiburon Golf Club in Naples. Darren Clarke and Grahame McDowell also shot a 59, but they never got closer than two strokes of the lead, and took second place.
Second-round co-leaders Jerry Kelly and Steve Stricker didn't fare as well in the closing round, and shot 64, while Fred Funk and Kenny Perry had an even worse day, closing with a 66.

Well, this
just shows what Length off the Tee and a Hot flat tick can do….I watched yesterday, and it was unbelieveable, how far DJ was hitting it, and Poulter could have had a dog and red cane the way he was putting….As you say, hit and giggle, but they were red hot….STUB
you gotta admit – it IS fun listening to these guys cutting up between shots. my brother’s mother in law has been there all week having a blast watching these guys play.
can’t get over the NBC clowns getting so bent out of shape when Johnson pulled his approach at 18 and his ball rolled into the hazard. Johnny Miller has screwed up these guys’ thinking so much that Rog thought he did it on purpose.

I did enjoy watching it today…it’s fun to listen to the banter.
As for Johnny, I have gotten to the point where I simply don’t listen much to what he says. I think he says a lot of stuff just to be controversial.

I find Miller boring.
Controversial at least gets ones attention. I feel for you yanks having to listen to him every other week.
Did you get Mareen Madill (sp?) and what’s his name calling the women’s tournament in Dubai ? I really like her.
