Bubba Watson on Euro Tour Players: "I see them as people."
Leave to Bubba Watson to set the record straight: rather than strident jingoism, his view of professional golf is that everyone is trying to win and that means beating everyone else -- no matter where they are from. And that means everyone, no matter what Tour they happen to play full-time. Watson commented to the Naples (Fla.) Daily News that his view of European players is actually quite simple:
“I see them as people,” Watson said. “I don’t see them as Europeans or from other countries. I just see them as golfers that we’re trying to beat. Rickie is trying to beat Ian (Poulter). I’m trying to beat Ian. We’re trying to beat Graeme. We’re trying to beat everybody that’s on the leaderboard; we’re trying to beat everybody in that field.
“... I don’t see it as where they come from ..." [he added.]
In my view, it's a nice break from the comments that we've heard lately deriding one country or the other, or for that matter, one Tour or the other.

Bubba said what 95% of people think.
It’s the media who whip it up and the silly 5% who buy it and think otherwise. Or maybe it’s 10%
What a great quote
That’s spot on.
Fight for your opinions, but do not believe that they contain the whole truth, or the only truth.

Bubba pretty much summed up...
The way life was meant to be and not the way it is contrived by the hypsters of golf broadcasting.
"pain is only weakness leaving the body"
sigh – was anybody around to share a hug with Bubba after that statement ?
more important – was anybody there to smack whoever asked the question that prompted that response in the back of the head for asking yet another really idiotic question ?

did you see...
…Santa Bubba and Santa Fowler signing autographs after their Sunday round ? Both had on their sponsor’s hats on top of the Santa costumes. Pretty cool.
