Big Week Coming For Euro Tour in Singapore
This weekend could be pivotal for several European Tour members vying to grab that Tour's year end prize of roughly one million dollars (US) in the "Race To Dubai."
BBC: Graeme Hopes To Close In On Leader Martin Kaymer
McDowell trails his Ryder Cup team-mate by $700,000 with three tournaments remaining, but a $1m jackpot awaits this weekend's winner in Singapore.
"This week is the week which I've targeted as an important one in trying to catch Martin," said McDowell.
"A huge week this week can punch a hole in his lead," said the US Open winner.
Meanwhile, Kaymer has no intention of relinquishing his lead:

The pair will be joined in the extended 204-man field by five other Ryder Cuppers, wunderkind Italian Matteo Manassero, and the Asian Tour money leader Noh Seung-yul. The most botable American player will be Masters champion Phil Mickelson. Not bad at all for a mid-Novermber tournament.
Golf: the season that never really ends.

WHAT ??
A million dollars ? Hang on here – the non-Americans on here keep saying that the Euro Tour guys aren’t in it for the money. They wouldn’t actually KEEP the million, would they ? They’d just hand it over to Green Peace or the UN or something….right ? (I need a hug !) (lol)

Court, first off, ya ain't gittin any hugs,
so jist git that outta yur head….Nextly, I don’t recall any of them actually saying they don’t play for the money, jist that it wern’t the over riding consideration…..And nextly agin….I bet Sweet Chip n Putt will be hangin over the ropes watchin Ol PHIL….I suggests, that she does a daily post about this event…..Ya know, it would be from a different perspective….STUB
OMP - can we get a laugh track app for here ?
I did everything I could to make sure it was obvious that I was joking…and the needle was at the folkses here, not the players.

No Laugh Track...But You Guys Do Crack Me Up
My wife thinks I am rather strange because I often quote one you to her, starting with something like “my friend Court said…”
I imagine that if we all got together for a real round of golf it would be nothing short of hilarious.

And...
we would all slow the course down by 3hrs cause of our constant arguing and such…can you imagine Court calling penalty every 3 minutes???

Wendy darlin...I'm hard pressed to think
of even one self respecting club that would let us on…How about the you U belong to ? ..STUB
They blanched at the suggestion, STUB
& said they would get back to me. I can’t help feeling that they might feel it was an absolute hoot once they got used to the idea – but then we’re not the most self-respecting of cubs ;o)
OH< OH...got some of them
dasterlys in there do you ?STUB
OMP......That round of golf would be fun......
Stub, Handi, and I are fairly close, and I’m hoping we can get together in the spring to play a round or two in Dallas…..others would be welcome.

Don’t forget D – she’s not around Texas, but 2010 marked her step up to national level competition – so she’s ready to travel ! :-)

Court, that's what I always said
“have bag will travel”….that P*ssed by wife off, so I had to say something else… STUB
I get the same reaction when I quote friends from here
Mainly because he thinks we’re all strange being here in the first place. Personally I would find it difficult not to have my daily fix of WR (thanks OMP).
PS Court – Easing still probably in The Canaries – I’ll let him deal with you when he gets back fresh off his hols. ;o)
Me, I am about to stream the Manchester Darby
Silly Americans don’t know what they are missing in these rivalry games this week. No NFL rivalry come close to City-United, and even that doesn’t approach Liverpool-United.

Court...did ya notice
how deftly Wendy sidestepped ya ? I too said them was little yella birds here in the Colonies, and got no reaction…strange…..STUB
That came out in totally
the wrong place. It was supposed to be up under Court’s 9.13 am …………. ah never mind…….
Do you have tickets for the show C&P?
I would have loved to go and watch tiger for the bumibol skin games on monday, but…it was “monday” …Well, i’ll wait for the JW Cambodian Open to watch some pros going at it…:(

Arsenal vs Wolves for us tonight
got to win otherwise ManU & Chelsea going to go too far ahead of us to stand any chance.
So, who is it we are supposed ro cheer for ?
Arsenal or Wolves ?….STUB
Go Gunners…and I am sure you won’t have too much problem with Wolverton. They can stay tenacious for about 60 minutes and then the cream rises to the top. I say 3-1 Arsenal will be what the final is.

Man U and Man City are on ESPN2 right now – and not a vuvuzela to be heard. :-)

Not so bad a result considering United is down 4-5 starters. They should be happy with that result but I am sure they are not at all happy with not slipping the winner into the net…they gave back two points to Chelsea after closing to within two…but for a team on the decline, United seems to be solidly in the race for the title this season.

But...but...I thought that soccer stuff was too hard to find! :-)
You have to look for it in this country, but there’s a lot of good football to be seen. FSC and Gol have joined xxxGC on my rota of stations I always watch.

POT???
What, do y’all think that we all live in Kalifornya?? No pot here….we all get high on that great nine iron shot that stops 2 feet from the cup….
The Saints ARE the SUPER BOWL CHAMPS....WHO DAT!
its mrs. ex-woods
That gets high on a 9 iron dear, we gets high on those drives that the ball dissapears on a straight line…

I'd like to make a request of OMP here...could/would
he request that sweet, wholesome, lithsome M’s Chip n Putt to do a daily post on what she is observing at this weeks event?…would be interesting to get a different perspective on what’s actually happening, through a Golfers eyes…STUB.
I think she's just suspended the 1st round
whilst she writes up her notes. Love to know who she’s following (can she glance at Robert Rock for me pls?).
oh fudge ! I forgot about the tournament in Singapore, where Diplomat Phil is playing…and the AP thinks that he’s going to jump from 4th to 1st in the world rankings even though he started four shots off the lead. :-)
"Fathom the odd hypocrisy that Obama wants every citizen to prove they are insured, but people don't have to prove they are citizens." - Ben Stein
SEEMS THE CASE, but what's with you and this Rock?
Wasn’t that last years hot hunk?….can’t even find him on the board…must be caddying for some one good…..STUB
Court was obviously having a senior moment
(see title of blog) and went to wrong continent.
Last time I looked, Robert was T84 at -1 at 16th.
lol – nope – if he’s lucky, Phil might slide ahead of Kaymer, but if TW doesn’t miss the cut, he’ll still be ahead of Mickelnuts and so will Westwood.
just my prediction
"Fathom the odd hypocrisy that Obama wants every citizen to prove they are insured, but people don't have to prove they are citizens." - Ben Stein
court..my knowledgable friend...
U know enough about golf, i hope and pray, to knwo that 4 shots behind the leader on the first day doesn’t mean a thing….Ambassador Phil can pull it int he nextthree days as much as anyone else who will make the cut tomorrow…(is there a cut in this SIngapor thing)
"If it doesn't work, you are trying to hard."
http://twitter.com/Roy_Ko
Phil’s a front runner – not a come from behind kind of guy. No doubt you’re right about day 1 – and with that field he’s up against in Singapore, he could make that up in 9 holes if he gets hot…I just don’t think he’s going to finish high enough to take over #1. He’s had 16 chances already this year and couldn’t get it done.

if he shoudl win...
Will it give him enough points for number 1?

Ya really don't have to try Wendy..
somethings are just not worth the time or effort….yur better off having a Tart and a nice glass of wine….STUB

But still great to watch him play golf
