A New Beginning...

Waggle Room is not going away now that Ryan has moved onto NBC Sports.  Quite the contrary, we'll still be here, talking about golf and everything else we've always talked about. 

First things first, it's going to be very hard for me to match the high standard that Ryan Ballangee set for Waggle Room.  Ryan's a young man on the way up, and I have often said to him and a lot of others as well that he will one day be one of the guys whose bylines are consistently in the major golf publications.  Who knows, we might even see his ugly mug on network coverage, or maybe chatting with the talking heads on Golf Channel.  That wouldn't surprise me, because the man knows his golf, and even when you might not agree with him, you have to admit that his positions were well thought out.  That's a hard act to follow and some big shoes to fill, but here I am, and I am going to give it my best shot.

I'd also like to ask you for your help.

Waggle Room is more of a community than it is "just" a blog, and often as not, the best parts of the site are the discussions.  Where else can you come and talk about the game we all love and then chat about roundabouts, or politics, or just poke each other in the (electronic) ribs for a giggle?

Secondly, I would love to add to the regular voices here.  If you have an story or opinion about golf, by all means post it.

Some folks have said that on my old blog, "Me and Old Man Par" that sometimes they thought that my posts weren't really the kind that "asked" for comments.  I never felt that way, in fact, I like learning from people who disagree with me.  I love talking about different things, and it doesn't bother me to be proven wrong.  I haven't got an ego the size of a truck, and I honestly think that the best way to learn is to have someone correct me when I don't quite have it straight.  Of course, I like being agreed with too... :-)  So, Court, others, keep me straight.

That said, I'd love it if nothing here really changed.  Keep laughing, keep arguing, keep patting each other on the back and most of all, keep posting.  Consider that a personal invitation.

So here were are, on the tee box, and ready to start a new journey.  Let's do it together.
