Piddly Rumor Site for Normal People Implicates Middling PGA Tour Pro

If you've ever wanted to be a celebrity with your own paprazzi, go to The Dirty.  The website is billed as the "first reality blog." That basically means that if you want to talk smack about someone in public but with an anonymous veil, you ship your photos and dirt on a person to The Dirty and they handle the rest.

When I was just getting into grad school, this site was being created.  People thought it was funny that us Terps could go there and spread Duke rumors - though we already had The Truth About Duke.  Apparently, it's still going.

And now, some chick known as Anorexic Kelly from Kansas is a target of the site.  As the name implies, someone thinks she's anorexic and has a problem with turning away male advances.  Also, she apparently has butt implants.  Seriously.

What does this have to do with golf at all?  Supposedly, Anorexic Kelly is dating PGA Tour player John Merrick.

One post says Kelly is dating a 30 year old golfer from Texas and posts Merrick's pic with this, uh, riveting text?

This 30 year old golfer from Texas is committing social suicide. Does he realize how many guys she has been with or the fact that his future wife is just some random sl*t who will just cheat on him. Nik, this girl makes me sick, she really needs to eat, maybe she can get fat while outting with her golfer boyfriend drinking Coors Light. Maybe this guy will be like Tiger Woods and let a girl affect his career. I hope they are happy together and who knows maybe there is dirt on him too, c’mon Dirty Army, lets find out.

Problem is that Merrick is from California, went to UCLA, and isn't even 28 yet.  And, according to some of the Dirty Army - Christ on a bike - the girl is neither named Kelly nor anorexic (though has a bad tan) nor lives in Kansas.

After my experience with The Dirty, I went over to TMZ.com to check out some real celebrity reporting.
