TABLOID FIGHT!!! So Maybe Tiger's Not in Mississippi After All?

PrintEarlier in the week, we did a post on Tiger Woods and the growing belief that he was in Mississippi for sex rehab. We weren't convinced then. Then Radar Online posted photos that they claim to be Tiger in Pine Grove. Though he looked like the Yeti, Woods' presence there remained unconfirmed.
Two outlets held firm that Tiger was not in Mississippi, with reasonable explanations as to why.
Sports by Brooks had investigated claims by E! Online that they spoke with a college student who saw Tiger. Turns out that she didn't actually exist.
Golf blog Zealous Golfer is located near Pine Grove and took a few photos at the facility. That's not really reporting, but they remained skeptical of the Woods rumor. Though I disagree with the rationale - especially since David Duval has no one protecting him - I openly promote skepticism.
Now, X17 - a competing tabloid site with Radar Online that claimed Tiger is in sex rehab in Arizona - says that they have photos that show the person that the Enquirer/Radar Online claims is Woods is actually just some other guy.
The National Enquirer has responded within minutes of the X17 posting, claiming that this "lookalike" was sent out by Pine Grove staff to try to discredit the Enquirer.
"The bizarre and ridiculous ruse was a clear attempt to make it look like The Enquirer's exclusive photo of Tiger in rehab is not him," the Enquirer said in a press release.
Here's something that I've learned from this whole experience: It's not a story if one tabloid picks up on it. It's a story if all of the tabloids pick up on it. But perhaps a caveat is that it may also be a story if tabloids are trying to pick each other apart about it.

wait – let me wrap my mind around this…you’re telling us that tabloids LIE ??? Say it ain’t so !!!!
now…these look alikes…we know Tiger has a lot of money…should we still assume that these are humans dressed to look like Tiger…or could they possibly be androids or one of those Japanese robots ?? just too much to think about on a Friday night.

Here’s some more to think about, court…there are only 2 possibilities, either TW is in the Hattiesburg sex rehab clinic or not. Now let’s look at the clues…first, Elin has not filed for divorce, yet. Now if Elin had already filed for divorce, TW would definitely not be in a sex rehab clinic, whether in Hattiesburg or elsewhere.
Second, RadarOnline posted a picture of someone who looked like TW at that Hattiesburg sex rehab clinic. Now, if TW is not there, why would you raise the height of the fence and increase the number of security patrols? This from a story in the Canadian Press…
“Most obvious was a 30-metre stretch of fence at the rear of the compound, which had been raised by 1.5 metres to four metres. Hattiesburg police and officers from Forrest General Hospital, which owns the clinic, were cruising in marked and unmarked cars, and they approached reporters who showed up”
…now of course I agree with you that this is all just speculation, but then again, because TW hasn’t said anything yet, that’s all we have, is speculation. Note well, Tiger could end all this speculation by simply saying something like “I have entered a sex rehab program in an attempt to save my marriage. I would appreciate your cooperation in honoring my desire for privacy.” That wouldn’t stop the media or the paparrazzi but it would end all the speculation. Actually, TW not making a statement just makes a bigger story for the tabloids. But these 2 clues suggest that TW is in sex rehab now.
Very possibly, nibs, very possibly.
Then again, the media has very little, if any, respect for a person’s privacy. Remember the legion of TV vans parked outside the gates of Isleworth for more than a week ? They weren’t just pestering Woods, they were bothering everybody in Isleworth and everybody travelling that road. The clinic also has to consider the safety and privacy of the rest of the patients staying there.
Hope you’re right about the reason he would do this – I just don’t someone like Woods picking a clinic out in the middle of traffic. The guy can’t go to a mall or movie theater without being smothered in people. So he picks a place with a little gate right off a 7 lane main road ? Especially when the same group also has a secluded clinic set back in the woods away from traffic and crowds ?
Oh well – it’s more about the results, right ?

There you go again, abusing the language….not “very possibly” but absolutely, indubitably! I said, and I quote…“But these 2 clues suggest that TW is in sex rehab now.” The first clue, ie. that Elin has not filed for divorce, yet, is general, suggesting that TW is in sex rehab somewhere. The second clue is specific and suggests that TW is there in Hattiesburg.
Like you said…“The clinic also has to consider the safety and privacy of the rest of the patients staying there.” Now if TW is there and these pictures appear on RadarOnline, the clinic does exactly what they did, raise the fence and increase security. On the other hand, if TW is NOT there, and having to consider the safety and privacy of the rest of the patients there, they simply announce to the world and the media/paparrazzi at their gates, that TW is NOT there. Note well, they did not do that! They could also show the media/paparrazzi the man who was photographed without violating his security and/or privacy.

And even your quote of mine is absolutely, indubitably correct also….I identified what was speculation. But the overall message of my post was that there were two clues and those were not as you said, very possibly true, but absolutely, indubitably clues to TW’s whereabouts.
I’m not trying to pick a fight, I think we already have established that. I am only pointing out that you can’t either read or reason.

…Sorry court, but that’s a rather miserable attempt at trying to agree with me, as you claimed. And I don’t want you to agree with me anyway, I want you to state your opinion and show some evidence for why you feel that way…if we agree, then fine, but you have disagreed with me, even when you did agree with me, as I proved in the last thread where we argued over Marion Barry and forgiveness, for God’s sake.

The idea of having Tiger Woods in a low rent place like that, right off the highway, with little or no real security, and no TV trucks lining the streets tells me that he isn’t there. Easing - I'm reconsidering my position on beer
solely in the interest of our special relationship with the old colonials of course.
The fact that I would kill for crayfish/crawfish/lobsters – well, any seafood actually,
has nothing to do with my backing down. Obviously. Also I quite like a cold chablis with any of these dishes. The seafood I had in Baltimore (it was a market with cafes overlooking water – can’t remember the name) was even better than I have had in France or Spain.
I can’t take it – I’m off to the fish market in Camber Docks Old Portsmouth tomorrow.

not the imitation “German lager”like Bud, Michilob, Shlitz and the like, you have to come to Britain. Real ale, or bitter, can be light beers or heavy dark ales like Guiness are usually 6 % volume. One bitter they make is 18 % ! Too strong, it probably tastes like oil. Very strong lagers can be 9%, Publicans won’t serve many to one idividual. About 25 years ago, pubs here started selling all sorts. We got Bud, unfortunatly, and many European beers. The small breweries have made a comeback and all over Britain there are many great strong local ales to be had. 10 pints of these down your neck you would forget you are older than dirt, lol. On the subject of seafood, I love it all. Squid, shellfish, crab from Cromer in Norfollk, the best I have had.. lobster.. oysters, better here than the Pacific. Even the humble mackerel..caught one and it was grilled 5 minutes later…can’t get fresher than that !

I like Americans ordering Smithwicks ‘cos they can’t pronounce it and it gives us all a good laugh. Reminds me of the first time I heard my husband order a pint of Gwince.
Here the local favourite is HSB (Hampshire Special Brew) – not popular with our American visitors down at the old Still & West; too strongly flavoured apparently. We also have a local brewery outlet which sells speciality beers, but they’e a bit gimmicky for my taste.
You can all consider your ankles severely savaged for this mockery – except TXQ – I’m aiming higher at him.
