I really hate articles like that. If you believe that THEY actually believe what they are writing, the Tour Championship field of 30 would probably have 80 or 90 because none of the guys who played the year before would ever not make it to the field the next year. They didn’t even ask about former winner Bart Bryant – come on. :-)

I am not shocked PGA.com
wrote that. I would have been surprised if PGATOUR.com did. The PGA takes occasional pot shots at the tour and it’s players. Remember, they primarily represent the club professional probably 20 to 1 over touring pros.
Reading the article, it appears they didn’t answer any questions about the topic; if anything, they raised a few new questions.
