Get Some Good Older Gear Cheap & Check Out New Putters From Slotline
As the season is kind of winding down - including my chances to experiment with my Groovy Sticks - there is some news coming out of the putter world. Our friend Chad Lehr at Slotline Golf cued me into some photos they have released of new putter models they're be releasing in November. He put those pictures up on his Twitter account, but the folks at The Hackers Paradise did the dirty work of posting it on their site as well. So, have a look over there for the pictures. They look to be some beautiful handiwork by Lehr's team.
I would say this is my favorite pic. It's the back view of the new SSi-693 mid-mallet.
Although you may not be in the market for the latest and greatest in golf technology - either because of the economy, or you're backwards like me - there is a site here to help you get good and current equipment for cheaper. It's called Golf Etail. They contacted me to let me know about their site. And as someone who is kind of an equipment minimalist, I like the concept of a site where people can get good golf equipment at significantly reduced prices from their retail peak. The technology may not be up-to-the-second, but it's still great and the price is right.
Golf Etail has put together a two-day promo code (good through 11:59p on Wednesday) for Waggle Room readers to get an extra 15% off of their order. The promo code is WAGGLE15. So, check the site and see if you can stock up before golf hibernation comes!

Looks like a pretty good site – but I didn’t find anything from Slotline.

No correlation between Golf Etail and the Slotline stuff — just lumping two equipment notes into a single post.

Hmm – a picture of a Slotline putter to get us TO the web site, but no Slotline putters on the site – I believe that’s called bait and switch, Mr Ballengee ! (can you bait and switch if you don’t actually work for the company ?) :-)
