Some Pro Golfers Didn't Get the Memo About the Champagne Room

PrintThe New York Post's Page Six has its Just Asking segment today that asks a pretty interesting question:
Which well-liked pro golfer once switched sponsors because he needed several million dollars in hush money? Seems he knocked up a stripper while playing at the Firestone Country Club in Akron, Ohio, and had to pay her off to keep their love child a secret.
I have so many questions!
One, did the golfer impregnate the stripper on the course? B, when did this happen? Third, are they implying Phil Mickelson?
Finally, I had no idea that Akron, OH, had so much adult talent. Really, nameless fornicator? Akron?!
Whoever it is, they must never have listened to Chris Rock's cautionary spoken word tale about strippers.

Cities of all sizes have women who go on the prowl for men with money. Akron used to be a really good town to live in. I was half a step away from moving back a couple of years ago.

His birth certificate says Akron…but I think they had to take him to Cleveland to get THAT boy out – Akron’s not big enough ! :-D

I can’t see him going to the Knicks. That’s like starting all over again…in high school…with the talent they have. If he goes to NY, they won’t have any money to put anybody around him. He’ll go somewhere that will put rings on his fingers.

If he gets his title with Shaq this year, I’m thinking he’ll pull a Kobe and try to do it on his own. Then again, he’s been doing that in Cleveland from the start!

But actually...
this story would counter Rock’s claims no? Apparently there IS sex in the champagne room…if you’re famous and rich. Or, at least famous, rich and in Akron.
LeBron James is definitely going
to the Knicks. He won mucho mucho games in 2008 with less talent than the Knicks will have in 2010. As a matter of fact, LeBron could win his first ring if Chris Rock was his center and Snoop Dog his power forward…
