Solheim Cup Sunday: Singles Matches & Open Thread
Today is the finale of the Solheim Cup from Rich Harvest Farms. The US is tied going into today's 12 singles matches. The Americans may have felt a whole lot better about today if they had been leading instead because they're undefeated entering Sunday with a lead. This should be a whole lot more unpredictable.
Anyway, here are the 12 singles matches today, in order.
- Suzann Pettersen v. Paula Creamer
- Helen Alfredsson v. Michelle Wie
- Laura Davies v. Brittany Lang
- Gwladys Nocera v. Juli Inkster
- Catriona Matthew v. Kristy McPherson
- Sophie Gustafson v. Brittany Lincicome
- Diana Luna v. Nicole Castrale
- Tania Elosegui v. Christina Kim
- Maria Hjorth v. Cristie Kerr
- Anna Nordqvist v. Morgan Pressel
- Janice Moodie v. Natalie Gulbis
That info in hand, here are a couple of other links that might interest you while watching the slow, grinding pace of play that these ladies have engaged in this weekend.
First, check out Rob Hayashida's coverage and photos from RHF at Golf Views. Also, to get the banter started, check out One Eyed Golfer's predictions for the matches.
We will provide some updates here and on Twitter, but up to the second scores are available at LPGA.com. I'll be hanging around with comments and thoughts during the action, so hang out with me!

I would highly recommend taking a gander at Steve DiMeglio’s piece on Michelle Wie playing so well without the influence of her parents at every turn.
Given how well Michelle has performed this weekend, I would hope that her parents finally realize it is time to LET GO.

Amen to that.
And I would hope that all of the debate as to whether or not Miss Wie deserved to have been picked for the team has been silenced by her 3-0-1 performance.

The parents angle has REALLY worn thin. She wouldn’t be where she is without them.
Anybody else surprised at the Euros putting Suzanne Petterson out first ? Tough as nails – but she spent all afternoon being worked on by the “physios” (gad – what a horrible name) getting stretched out. I figured they would save her for the middle or even around 8 or 9 to let her rest and get nice and loose.
