Go To Paddy Power For All of Your Gambling Needs

PrintIrish-based sportsbook Paddy Power is pretty well known for early payouts on bets. On Saturday afternoon, they took the unfathomable step of paying out 1.25 million British pounds to wagerers who bet on Tiger Woods to win the PGA Championship. At the time, he held a four shot lead over the field - seemingly making the outcome a foregone conclusion.
Except it wasn't. Golf365 reached Paddy Power for comment.
"It takes a special kind of dimwit to turn what should have been our best ever golf result into our worst. Paddy Power punters are obviously the big winners here and have made like bandits getting paid out on Tiger as a winner.
"Our only saving grace is that Harrington didn't do the business, thank God!"
If only I had known about Paddy Power sooner, I would have put a ton of money on the Patriots to go 19-0.

you either have to conclude that his is one of the dumbest businesses in the world – or that they make SO much money that they can laugh off giving away 1.25 million pounds. I guess we all know the old saying about Las Vegas casinos…“if you want to win in Vegas, build a casino”.
