Clockgate Referee Has A Good Sense of Humor

John Paramor is serving as an official at the PGA Championship this weekend.  Can you imagine the hilarity that would ensue if Harrington & Woods play together over the weekend and Paramor - by complete "coincidence" - officiates their match?  I digress. 

Golfweek reports in their PGA Championship blog that Paramor got a good ribbing from the group he was reffing on Thursday.

Andy Sutton couldn’t resist, so as he moved up the fairway at the par-5 seventh, he stopped to talk to the rules official.

"John, are we on the clock?" asked Sutton.

Paramor smiled, then laughed. "No," he said, "but the boys ahead are," a reference to Mark Wilson, Charl Schwartzel, and Alastair Forsyth.

It's stories like these that make me wish I had an opportunity to cover more championships.
