Say Cheese! PGA Players Flip Off Tiger Woods, PGA of America, or Ian Poulter?

Ian Poulter is one of the revered pro golfers on Twitter.  He gives away tickets, Tweets in between shots, and says some pretty irreverent stuff - all in 140 characters.

Well, he took it to the next level with a Tweet that he has since taken down, but Geoff Shackelford caught.

The link took you to a picture of Justin Rose and Camilo Villegas...flipping the bird.  The pic is after the jump - for the childrenz' sake.

Who or what could they be flipping off?  Could it be their sad sack careers?  Maybe it's Tiger for winning so many times that people question their talent.  Maybe it's the PGA of America because they're so looking forward to playing Hazeltine.

The possibilities tantalize and titillate, but no matter what it is, "these guys are good." TM

For the record, Poulter pulled the Tweet and apologized.  Also, for the record, I'm not offended.  I'm just curious.

You’d think that Justin Rose would give the British two finger salute instead of the American one finger salute.

Ha. That’s great. Oooh, the life of a professional golfer. I don’t ever wanna hear how hard it is from a pro on tour again.

Maybe they were pissed that they were being used by Ian for his own social networking.

This just in...

Tiger has fined Camilo Villegas, Justin Rose, Ian Poulter, Doug Ferguson, Tim Finchem, John Daly, courtgolf and MarquisJet. It is his policy not to disclose amounts or reasoning, just that they should all “pay up”.
