Wait, You Mean Those Interviews Weren't From a Real Locker Room?!
Only because I tend to notice the subtle, I couldn't help but see that the interviews that Jim Huber and Tom Rinaldi were conducting from the Open were done from some kind of special R&A locker room - equipped with R&A branded lockers.

Yeah, that locker room wasn't real. The Irish Times confirmed my suspicions.
[TNT and ABC]’s post-round interview area has the look of an upmarket locker-room, with rich, mahogany- like lockers and the R&A logo visible on each of the locker doors.
We’ve since found out the supposed locker-room is a set in a port-a-cabin just beyond the mixed zone behind the 18th grandstand.
Is anything real anymore? Is the Claret Jug just a big chocolate candy?

I was going to save that post for around Christmas – or after some other schlepp breaks our hearts at the PGA Championship.

lol – we REALLY have to work on your perspective….“poor schlepp” ? Cabrera, G Lover, and Cink ? All with wins on Tour and Cabrera with an earlier major ? Maybe Glover – but he has a lot of game and a lot of respect on Tour. He’s not exactly an unknown.

I don’t think you’re following my line of logic :) Don’t get me wrong – I have nothing against the guys who have won majors this year. I just would’ve liked them more if someone else would’ve won them.

ok – I’m trying to follow the – and you’re certainly welcome to your opinions, naturally – but when does reality set in ? I don’t understand belittling the guys who actually DO win a tournament.
"this ball will fit in that fairway"
I haven’t belittled them at all. They all won the tournament – they beat who they had in front of them. My disappointment comes more in the guys who didn’t win than they guys who did.

Fine, then retract “schlepp” and replace with “capable golfer who beat the overwhelming fan favorite” :)

Maybe this is why they give trophies...
…so the players who actually WIN the tournament – the player who has to put up with public criticism because they didn’t let the fan favorite win – can go home after the abuse, see the trophy, and say to themselves – “oh yeah – I WON that tournament – it doesn’t matter what those %&##@’s in the media said about it.”
"this ball will fit in that fairway"
Like I said – I don’t lament who won. I lament who didn’t. I’m not going to direct any anger or belittlement to who did win.
