Can Golf Get a Break From the Rain?

PrintHow crazy has the weather been the last couple of months? We haven't seen this many rain affected tournaments since a few years ago on the west coast.
The John Deere Classic is in a rain delay until at least mid-afternoon today, but they are hoping it will clear out and they can play without any problems over the weekend.
Great for the PGA Tour - but this stuff is headed east - which means some of it could hit the US Women's Open over the weekend. Not good. Saucon Valley is tough enough without having to slog it out in the rain. At least they have plenty of forward tees to shorten things up if needed.

this just in
Was watching some weather channel and they are saying that El Nino is starting to come up again – which is what brought all the wild early season weather on the west coast a few years back.
the fun never ends. (maybe we need to sacrifice a few tree huggers in a volcano ?)
