Where the hell is my 9-iron?
Quite some time ago - maybe a year or more - i managed somehow to lose my 9-iron. After searching through the lost club bins at the courses i had recently played, I gave up and set about to find a replacement.
I've tried finding it via a couple of online "club-finding" sites, to no avail.
Has anyone here had any luck with any of these sites? Is there a site anyone can recommend?
Thanks in advance.

TO, what kind of club is it? I’ll scout around and see what I can find.

Well...
…it’s a Ram FX2 GT Steel 9-iron, R-flex True Temper shaft. An econo set purchased about seven years ago, it has nevertheless proven to be very playable and very durable. I can get a whole new set on eBay for about $180, but I’m a lowly liberal arts guy with little discretionary income!
If you have “connections”, I’d be grateful for your help.

That’s a tough one, TO. Where are you located? I used to go to a second hand sports equipment store around here called Play It Again Sports that had just this kind of thing.

I'm in Huntsville, Alabama.
We once had a Play-It-Again, but it closed several years ago. I’ve been in contact with a few on the online operations that specialize in this sort of thing, but I’ve not yet had any luck.
Crazy: If I were trying to replace a saucer from long-dead great-grandma’s wedding china, I’d likely have no problems. But a seven-year-old 9-iron? S.O.L., my friend.

Since this isn’t a set of clubs you’re probably not going to be playing with for the rest of your life – how about going through Golfsmith.com to find something similar enough to yours to fill in for the time being ? You can build a club for around $15.

Have you called Ram ? I know they are pretty much an exclusive line for Sports Authority – but you never know what might be laying around someplace.

I did call them.
And while the customer service guy was friendly, he was no help at all.
