Smoking and Drinking During A Round of Golf
I don't know if any of them enjoy a good stogie or not, but I do. The folks at Gurkha Cigars sent me some cigars to smoke on my own time a few months ago. They sent me a four-pack with a variety of styles and I enjoyed all of them. I had meant to post about them sooner, but apparently I had left the post as a draft! Anyway, now that the US Open is this weekend - culminating in Father's Day - I figured it was a good time to bring up the subject.
Some people like a good beer during a round. Some, like me, enjoy a cigar. I'm a fan of the golfing cigar from time to time and Gurkha has such a wide variety that would appeal to almost any kind of smoker.
Now, I don't really like that gawdy look that Rush Limbaugh has when he's golfing. But, I do like to have a cigar with the round. Gurkha's range from about $12 all the way up to $750, which you probably don't want. The cigars I received, though, were closer to that $12 number.
You wouldn't confuse me with a Cigar Aficionado subscriber, but I feel qualified to recommend the Gurkhas.
That said, this leads me to a question. Like I said, some people like to drink, smoke, or have some kind of vice during a round. Are you one of those people? Does it distract you from your round or does it help you stay relaxed? Or do you not even care what you shoot?

CIGARS
Well Ryan, I can’t play a round of golf without a cigar in my mouth. I’m lost without one. I never had the chance to smoke the ones that were given to you for “free”. If you ever have an extra cigar, I’ll be glad to enjoy it either while playing a casual round of golf or just sitting back exploring “Waggleroom”. Toenejo
