I just checked out some golf news over at Yahoo! and saw this story featuring Mike Weir talking about anticipating the Mike Davis version of a Bethpage US Open in a few weeks' time. Interestingly enough, the piece was actually done by Thomson Reuters - the same Thomson Reuters that sponsors Mike Weir! A little conflict of interest!

Weir comments, "It was an unusually cold morning and it was probably a 15 mile-an-hour (headwind). It was unbelievable. I suspect probably half the field couldn’t reach that (fairway)."
That means 50% of the field did carry their drive. A world-class player complaining about something 143 other competitors also faced? Get a 48" driver and hit a Pinnacle, Mike.

that is very true…I have no idea what it has to do with a guy who grew up in cold weather complaining about temperatures in the 50’s…but you are 100% correct.

Conflict ??
Thompson Reuters is a news organization that also is one of Weir’s sponsors. They are reporting on Weir and Davis having a conversation about an upcoming sports event – there’s no conflict of interest by either party.
Don't worry, nothing will be allright.
