John Daly's Loud Pants and Loud Results
John Daly may not have a PGA Tour card or under suspension from the Tour for his off-course antics, but the European Tour looks the other way. And that means that Daly is playing in Europe. He finished T17 at the soon to be defunct Hong Kong Open, then missed the cut at the Australian Masters.
Then, Daly decided to make a few changes. He joined Twitter. And, he also changed his pants. You may have seen John Daly's loud pants and been wondering if Daly has been drunk when making his wardrobe choices.

As it turns out, though, Daly made the conscious decision to make a fashion change. He made the switch to Loudmouth Golf for his pants. I met some of the folks from Loudmouth Golf at the PGA Merchandising Show. They make some really fun designs.
From my PGA Show Wrap Up piece:
Along the same lines, Loud Mouth Golf is changing the way you think about your golfing trousers. In 2000, Scott Woodworth decided to create some outrageous pair of golf pants using a wacky fabric. He expanded his designs to create more pairs of pants with equally eccentric fabrics reminiscent of the 1970s golf fashion that is coming back now full circle. All of the pants cost around $90, and they also make some cool belts.
Also, here's our video from the show featuring NBC Sports golf personnel in the pants.
Since the switch, he has gone T31 at the Spanish Open and finished T2 in the Italian Open this weekend.
Just as the white belt doesn't appear to be working for Phil Mickelson, it seems like the pants are working for big John Daly.

European Tour players request a travelling opthamologist while Daly is on their tour
Several European Tour players complained of bright spots in their vision combined with near dizzyness when playing with or near John Daly.
“It’s the pants, man. faaaarrrr ooouutt – look at the colors…the COLORS,” one player was quoted as saying before being taken to a darkened room to recover.
Ok ok – Daly finished second this past weekend in Turn, Italy, his second tournament on the European Tour after a 4 month layoff.
Aside from the pants, he’s looking pretty good. Slimmed down and playing pretty well. He carded a 31 on the back 9 Sunday, shooting 66 on the day. He has a streak of 5 straight rounds under 70.
I hope he continues to play well and maybe brings his game back to the US.

Good for him. I hope he stays clean
but I doubt he stays off the sauce too long ESPECIALLY if he starts having success on the PGA Tour
Not saying that to be mean but he has gone through the EXTREME side of alcoholism which I have dealt with due to a family member
