Woods Denies McIlroy Practice Round
Rory McIlroy approached Tiger Woods about a practice round at Augusta National. Woods declined, saying that the media buzz around that practice round would be too stressful. Seems benign enough, but also a little like Tiger is struggling to find the zone this week at the Masters.

sounds like a bit of a stretch
Can’t agree with you on this one, RB. Tiger doesn’t play practice rounds with anyone at majors. He is usually the first one out at sunrise trying to beat as much media squeeze as possible. Unfortunately, the weather here is pretty crappy – windy and cold – even a few snow flurries yesterday. It was uncomfortable enough to make him play late in the afternoon and then just a few holes. He spent more time on the practice putting green than anywhere.
Doesn’t sound like someone who is struggling to get in “the zone” – just a Floridian who didn’t want to shiver his way around the course when it is going to be a lot warmer during the tournament.

This was a bit of an inside joke for myself. Golf365 is really not the most journalistic site in the world – a lot of rumors, conjecture, etc. This is a lot of the same from them. So, I figured I would keep in the spirit of them in my post :)
Honestly, I have no idea if this means anything for Tiger. Frankly, I don’t care – but think the post is funny in its tabloid way.

I guess I just don’t get the jokes with sites like that. The Onion is funny because you know they are trying to be funny. It’s hard to tell when a rumor mill is being serious or not. Oh well.

I think Golf365 is trying to be serious, but it just comes across as hilarious. That kind of unintentional humor just gets me everytime!

Or Tiger is just being a jerk Tiger? He needs to “focus.” It’s all business. Duh!

We don’t even know that this happened !! I’m certainly not going to argue with Tiger’s routine. It seems to have worked well in the past.
