Would You Watch Me On Video Talking Golf?
You all know that I'm a technology fiend. I love the stuff. Twitter, podcasting, Flash, video - we're all over it.
Now, I'm interested in seeing if there is an interest out there in the Interether for live streaming video programming about golf tournaments. I'm batting some ideas around for a larger concept, but this would be one of the cornerstones. We have talked on here about how using the Web to broadcast live golf is a great idea. Similarly, I think that talking about golf - professional and watching it - would be great for the Web, too.
I'm thinking that we could do broadcasts before, during, and/or after tournaments. I can go to tournament site and broadcast from there with player interviews as well. Maybe we set up shop with a PGA professional and answer your questions online. In other words, I can bring golf to you but online.
I'd love to hear your comments on here or, if you want, in private over e-mail. I think we can do some really cool things.

depends...
..how many Hooters girls would be in the shot with you ? :-D
"this ball will fit in that fairway"
during?
Unless you have two or three gyro stabilized high-def camera’s per hole, you shouldn’t try Web casting during a tournament. I’d be left with a decision, watch golfers (ignoring commentators) or watch Ryan, who may be smarter and more interesting, but can’’t show golfers hitting balls into holes.

Well, I’m not thinking of broadcasting tournaments so much as conducting a program of interviews with golfers during the event. Maybe talking with media also. It’d probably be more like a post-game wrap up kind of thing.
Also, I think it’d be cool to have an Academy Live-ish show on the Web so that people could ask golf questions and get answers in real time.
I think both would appeal to an audience that likes to read and talk about golf at work.

from your initial description...
I wasn’t sure what you had in mind. If I didn’t have any work to do and my employer authorized unlocking video (I can’t even get YouTube here), maybe.

I would also always archive what I did so it could be up when you get home :)
