Enter the Waggle Room DOOM BUNKER
On last night's Colbert Report, Stephen Colbert took genius to a new level. Parodying the Glenn Beck "War Room" on his ridiculous Fox News show, Colbert entered his Doom Bunker to take a look at out-of-this-world Doomsday scenarios and what we should do about them.
If you didn't catch the segment, watch it now.
It made me wonder what a trip into the much punnier Waggle Room Hell Bunker might reveal.

they didn't think this through very well, did they
inviting REAL people to give the military and economic responses just didn’t work. The military guy didn’t get it and couldn’t say anything because he knew that if he went along with the game, there would be hell to pay in the real media and the Pentagon.
Great idea – bad execution. “Newer Mexico” – everything west of the Mississippi belongs to Mexico – hilarious !

I think the joke there was having real people in a parody situation and being paralyzed by the ridiculousness of it.

but...
…it’s not funny when he comes up with these crazy “end of the world” scenarios, then can’t get anyone to go along with it. stammering and non-answers weren’t what he was looking for.
it’s a spoof show – have George Patton on the military side.

To be honest, I didn’t really care what either of them thought. Though the Colonel caught on at the end.

come on...
…Patton telling him that we should bomb them back to Mexico City while we have the troops and equipment would be hilarious ! :-) Then again – that would never fit on a show like this.
