Who am I?

I'm giving you an odd look. I  just can't help it.

Currently I'm eligible for the Senior Tour.

While on the PGA Tour, I won just twice. Those wins came in my first three years on tour and had some thinking I'd ring up many more but I didn't. Over the next seventeen years a single playoff loss to one of golf's more obscure major champions of the last 50 years was the only time I threatened to win again. Bill was on his honeymoon then half way around the world from where I was playing, so he even get to see my near miss.

My first tour win I beat a European player who rarely made tournament appearances in the United States.

My 2nd win saw me make up 7-shots on Sunday. 

Who am I?

The answer- Ronnie Black

He won the 1983 Southern Open in a playoff over Sam Torrance

He won the 1984 Michelob by shooting a final round 63 to beat Willie Wood by one shot.

In 1989 he lost a playoff to Wayne Grady at Westchester.

The  words 'odd look' were a reference to the sleepy eyes Black has. I heard once he had eye surgery.
