PGA Show Content Open Thread
I wanted to have a post where people could post anything they have written or seen that they liked about the PGA Show.
Golf Views has a couple of videos up with more to come, including an interview with Sandra Gal and a video of the new Bushnell PinPro Laserfinder.
I had the Larry Dorman putting piece up as a link earlier in the day.
The Golf Girl has a primer for later posts on the PGA Show with some pretty cool pics from the show.

Laser range finders...
…got one that may be even better than the Bushnell, and a little less expensive, too ! Leupold uses more up to date military technology to make it easier to lock onto the exact target you want. They showed us one that adjusts for slope – not new, of course – BUT – this one is also programmable for altitude, too. You can enter your club yardage at whatever altitude you’re used to playing at – then, for example, you go to Colorado – you can adjust the altitude and get a club recommendation based on the different air conditions. VERY cool – and less expensive than the Bushnell.

Phil Bundy
has a report from his sponsorship efforts at the show: http://philbundy.com/a-successful-trek-at-the-pga-show/
oops
sorry – his – not yours. all he talks about are his potential sponsors and meeting a lot of people in attendance.

Oh ok
Yeah, Phil is trying to gather sponsors for his quest to get onto the PGA Tour. I linked to it to show the variety of reasons people go to the show.
BTW, Dena Davis and I had some sake at Homna and I had a good Heineken thanks to Cutter & Buck. Good string band, too!

probably very good Sake, too
…when you charge those prices for a set of irons, you can get the good stuff ! :-) between them and maruman – that was a lot of really nice, high dollar equipment. (did you swing the 41 gram shafted driver ?)
I only rated a late Saturday Bud Light after buying some wind shirt samples, and winning a Mtn Dew at Fantasia Gardens. (lol)

Haha
Awesome on the BL – I’m more of a beer guy, really. Occasionally a good wine.
It’s unreal how much some of that equipment retails for!

2009 PGA Merchandise show
I’ve just returned from the PGA show and I think this was the 20th that I have attended. The spirits were high over all. I found our customers optimistic and many said they were just “buying smarter” and focusing on brands that were proven. They were also sticking with companies that had excellent customer service that they could rely on. The PGA and Reed exhibits seemed to go out of their way to try to make this a success.
if that's the case...
…YOU should’ve had a great show, Jane. I had the pleasure of nosing around your booth on Saturday – it’s just hard to beat a Daphne’s headcover for quality and just plain fun. The Lion hybrid cover you gave me is on my 3 already. :-)
