Fantasy Crystal Ball: AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am

We have the ole Bing Crosby Clambake this weekend at Pebble Beach, Spyglass Hill, and Poppy Hills. I'm not too sure that Crosby wouldn't be rolling in his grave if he knew what Bill Murray was doing at his tournament, or that he came back after some time away from the event. I'm glad to see him back, though.
The conditions for this event always draw a lot of criticism. The poa annua seeded greens really get torn up by six hour rounds with professionals and amateurs. Even with a three course spread, the wear and tear is noticeable. There are going to be some bad bounces on the greens.
I am steadfast on my A-list this week and I am going with the old guard. I'm taking Kenny Perry and Vijay Singh this week. I'm not even considering anyone else. Perry is a winner already this year and I have to take advantage of his hot streak before he realizes that he is almost 49 years old. I'm taking Vijay because he blew this tournament last year like an idiot to Steve Lowery. Vijay most certainly remembers that. Yes, he is coming back from surgery this week to play. Like Nick Watney last week, I am going on a feeling.
On the B-list, I like staying with Nick Watney. I subscribe to the philosophy that you keep a golfer til they screw it up for you. And that's why Steve Marino isn't on my team this week. I'll pick up Pat Perez here. He loves the event and usually does well enough to get some decent points.
If you're thinking, "Hey, JJ Henry plays well in California," please do not select him this week. He plays well at Torrey and nowhere else in California.
For the C-list, how could you not go with John Mallinger? The guy has finished in 3rd each of the last two years here. The third time may be a charm? Har har. Well, too bad. He's not in the game.
So, when in doubt on poa annua, go with guys who putt well. Tom Pernice Jr. sounds good to me. And I'm going to pick Retief Goosen just because he is somehow available on the C-list this week.

yeah yeah yeah...
…Is Bill Murray in the field ? Always fun – but never pick his partner in your fantasy field. :-)

He is
He’s back! But definitely never pick who is with him!

I'm looking for divine intervention...
I’ve decided to pray this week – after week 1 I’ve stunk it up!
I love Pebble Beach.
Streak
I’ll be looking to extend my streak of having the tournament winner on my squad to 4 consecutive weeks. And somehow, I’m still in the middle of the pack. Guess I need to do more homework.

Hmmm....
…SOMEbody’s rubbing it in !! lol
3 winners in a row, eh ? That’s pretty impressive.
"this ball will fit in that fairway"
hardly brag worthy...
Yeah, it’s definitely more luck than skill. The fantasy golf scoring needs more tweaks to its scoring that the FedEx Cup!

Mallinger
Mallinger IS in the game – but he’s an A-lister! I agree, he should probably be a B or C.
He is?!
Oh dear God. No wonder I missed him. I assumed he would have to be B or C.
