An Awesome View of the History of the Majors
As you may know, I'm a big fan of visuals of information. From the Tiger Woods Tournament Flow Chart to a map of the '09 Masters to our summertime segment involving data visualizations, I love presenting golf data in new and fun ways.
Ruediger Meyer of the German golf blog Linksgolfer did a really cool graphic of his own. He created a subway map of the six tournaments ever considered to be the majors - Masters, US Open, US Amateur, British Open, British Amateur, and PGA Championship. The lines of the subway system intersect where a player won multiple majors in a single season.
It's a pretty big file, but well worth taking a look at it. Seriously, it's good enough to be a poster.

Awesome.
I wonder if it would sound like the Chicago El Train service if you rode this subway.
You are on the Purple Line with service to Lawson Little. Next stop… John Ball, followed by… Harold Hilton. Transfer at Harold Hilton to Tan Line.
