Vandals pepper Duluth school with golf balls, causing $10k in damage
It's rumored the judge who sentences these men or women will make them take a penalty shot from jail.

What would you bet that there are people calling talk shows and writing the newspapers saying that this is just kids being kids. Bull-hockey. This is sad and the kind of thing golf is supposed to teach kids not to do.

Had a woman a few years back tell my neighbor who was pressing charges against her son (16) for smashing his car window and stealing CD’s, that her son was “just a kid” and jail time would really hurt his chances of getting into college. (He was looking at jail time because of “previous offenses”.) I loved his reply, which I heard from his wife. “No ma’am, he’s not just a kid. He’s just a criminal who happens to be 16 years old!” Don’t really know what became of him, but my neighbor got his car window paid for as restitution.
