Michelle Wie Trails IK Kim By Six in Rainy Dubai
Just a few weeks ago, Dubai experienced its first rainfall of its wet season. You know, the ten days per year that it might rain in the emirate. Prior to November 22, the last time it rained in Dubai was March.
Amidst a light drizzle - practically a torrential downpour there - IK Kim extended her lead at the Dubai Ladies Masters entering the final round. She fired 67 to finish at -14 to lead by three.
Anna Nordqvist made a charge in the second round, firing 65 in the round of the tournament.
Michelle Wie - coming off of a blistering 113/120 on her statistics exam - shot 71 and is six shots back of the lead.
Wie's friend Christina Kim is at even par through three rounds.
Also, check out Bill Jempty's FanShot on this tournament, too. I just wanted to get the pictures from Getty Images in here.

I see she
has her ankle brace on. Hopefully she will keep wearing it until the ankle is fully healed. I’m looking forward to her having a great year in 2010.
Thanks for the IK
I saw an AP article that read, “Wie trails Kim by two”… I thought Christina…Nope! K.J. Choi was asked if he followed the South Korean women on the LPGA. He replied something like, no, too many Parks and KIms…. K.J. is probably the only man in golf who could make that remark and not be criticized for it. It rains in Dubai????
Incredible as it may sound, it does indeed rain in that part of the world – not very often, of course, but it’s been known to happen. Last month on the other side of the Arabian Peninsula in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, they had so much rain that there was even flood damage, which given that it happened during the Hajj, when the city serves as a gateway to nearby Mecca, was significant.
