Nevermind Rachel Uchitel: Meet Jaimee Grubbs and Joanna Jagoda
As reported at Waggle Room first and then again today in the New York Post, Rachel Uchitel has vehemently denied the National Enquirer's report that she had an extramarital affair with Tiger Woods. Well, Uchitel may be in the clear for now, but US Weekly is intending to ratchet up the situation.
They're the mag reporting that Jaimee Grubbs - former reality TV participant and Los Angeles bartender - had an affair with Woods. They're claiming that she has text messages and voicemails to validate her 31 month affair with Woods.
US Weekly also says they can "confirm" that Uchitel did have an affair with Woods.
Then again, they think that polygraphs are an absolute indicator of truth telling. And they're not even admissible in court.
RadarOnline.com claims to have two text messages from Woods to Grubbs. They're also claiming, along with Sports by Brooks, that there is a horde of other women who would like to say they, too, slept with Tiger.
Thank God there's Q-School this week.
I will say that Jaimee Grubbs sure looks an awful lot like Rachel Uchitel. So, at least the publications are being consistent with the looks of the woman they claim that Tiger likes to philander with on the town.
And, so, running out of women to talk about after his marriage, some people started talking about a girl named Joanna Jagoda, who dated Woods before meeting Elin. She's now a lawyer apparently. And she looks kind of like Elin.
Notice a trend here?
Tiger Woods went from Andy Griffith to Bill Clinton in about 12 hours today. What's next to come on down on The Price is Right?

other way around – if you’re single, you can’t have an extramarital affair – only a married person can have an extramarital affair. ;-)
Ok – I’m officially going to join the other side and say that Tiger should’ve told everybody what happened at 2:30 in the morning last Friday. These stories are just idiotic. Please – a reality show wannabe keeping something like this quiet for 10 years ? Not likely.
"this ball will fit in that fairway"
A blog like any other
To those of you who touted waggleroom.com as something very different from TGC, does this article smack of instant sleeze? About all I can say is I’m sure this moved Ryan to the top of 3irons Christmas card list. Please don’t mistake this as a criticism. It’s SOP in this wonderful world of blogs. All very civil though, isn’t it jumpster?
nah – RB just likes posting the occassional bikini shot. (beats Kelly Tilghman, eh ?) :-)

let the blogger beware
When you lay down with dogs, you get fleas….. BTW – I checked over at the Golf Channel site, no Jamie and Joanna….yet…. They couldn’t be demostrating some restraint??? Nah, they never would say anything untoward about Nike and Tiger… My guess is no one’s minding the sore there…
minding the sore ? you’re not insinuating anything about these women, are you ? (lol)

“A Los Angeles cocktail waitress tells the new Us Weekly (on newsstands Wednesday) that she had a steamy 31-month fling with Tiger Woods and has a voicemail recording and text messages to prove it.
Look back at the biggest sports scandals of all time
Jaimee Grubbs, now 24, tells Us Weekly she began having an affair with Woods, 33, in April 2007.
She tells Us Weekly they went on to have 20 sexual encounters.
See more stars caught cheating
Grubbs, who recently appeared on VH1’s Tool Academy, also tells Us Weekly she has more than 300 racy texts from Woods, who wed model Elin Nordegren in 2004.
Come back to Usmagazine.com Wednesday morning to listen to a Nov. 24 voicemail Woods left Grubbs in which he suggests his wife might suspect he is having an affair."
….someone needs to listen to this voicemail tomorrow…not me, I’m golfing!
Oh my, Oh my!!
And so it begins. I really don’t want to believe any of this, as it makes be sick. I could criticize Tiger for his temper, as well as his club throwing, because I had those same problems, but worked hard to get control of them. His interaction with fans was also a source of criticism, but these new revelations, if true, pale to the others things I mentioned. I really hope these accusations are not true. I’ve never been a big Tiger fan, but as 3irons says this is a black-eye on the game that we do not need.
a black eye…on what ? Are you saying that you can no longer play golf with your head held high ?
can you name a sport that doesn’t have crazy things going on in the professional level ?
"this ball will fit in that fairway"
You know what
I’m talking about. You made my point…..every sport has “crazy things” going at the professional level….except golf. The Barron drug test was big to golfers, but the outside world could care less about Barron. Tiger is the #1 professional athlete in the world, so if this is not a black eye, then maybe a few facial scratches and blood in the mouth….lol……go figure.
I hoped I knew what you were talking about. This is one of those things that drives me nuts. I hear too many people and media who talk about golf being in trouble when the issues surround the PGA Tour or a golf manufacturer, or a glut of golf courses. The game is the game and it will always be around.
(keeping my head down)
"this ball will fit in that fairway"
66er although I see your point, this in and of itself doesn’t damage the game in my opinion. Tiger will take a hit to his image and perhaps loose a few fans, but he’s still good for the game. If the affairs are true many people such as yourself will express disapproval and probably deservingly so, but this is about his private life not the game of golf. Doesn’t mean I condone anything, I just don’t care what Tiger does in his private life anymore than I care what 3irons is doing…lol Not my business. I’m concerned about my own personal life and family not Tiger’s. At the end of the day all this really does is further demonstrate how human he really is and that he’s subject to the same imperfections as all of us. I’m still a fan, this incident won’t change that one bit and I suspect the majority of his fans will feel the same.
This doesn't look like Kansas Toto !
t-pot,…..as much as I do not like Woods, I really hope none of this is true. It will destroy his image and cause irrepairable harm to his career,..not to mention the game. He couldn’t be that arrogant ? Man oh man, I cannot find the words here. Un-freakin-believable. Tiger,….man up and say something dude ! Anything. They’re gonna bury you if you don’t. The media built his image, and the media is now trying to tear it apart. Time for the man to step up and separate the fact from the BS. This is just too much. Say it isn’t so Tiger,..SAY SOMETHING !!!!
No on is bigger than the game...
how much damage did the Koby Bryant allegations do to basketball ? none
how much damage did the Ray Lewis allegations do to football ? none
how much damage did the steroids allegations against Mark McGuire do to baseball ? none
just a few examples of scandals in PROFESSIONAL sports – but people still love the games.
Personally, I couldn’t care less if every professional sports league disappeared – the games I enjoy will never be truly affected by an occassional pro who screws up.
"this ball will fit in that fairway"
court
We’ve grown accustomed to the major sports being full of thugs and criminals. My point was that golf has always been above reproach and prided itself on it’s clean image. Will this mess tarnish golf…..maybe, maybe not, but it will surely tarnish Tiger, unless he can somehow prove he is innocent of these scandals. The court of public opinion doesn’t seem to have any rules or regulations to guide it……..man this really sucks…:(
Very true – but there have been “scandelous” people in professional golf. Hagan’s image as the gambliing and drinking party guy didn’t go over well in a lot of places. Tommy Armour’s temper. John Daly. Phil Mickelson had all kinds of rumors floating around him a couple of years ago from gambling debts to illegitimate children. (interestingly enough – Phil didn’t address either issue publicly)
You’re right – it sucks.
"this ball will fit in that fairway"
Damage to baesball,....NONE???
court,….to quote Johnny Mac " YOU CANNOT BE SERIOUS " The steroid scandel in baseball crippled attendance for 10 years, and has not returned to previous levels.Kids playin ball has also seen a decline as reported on ESPN. I gotta believe that the golf audience will be “turned off” towards Pro Golf’s poster boy. He’s brought many new folks into the game, but this will turn off the players/kids on the fringe. As a PGA member, I’d hate to see that. Geez Louise, I don’t have much respect for Woods’ on course tantrums, but I seriously hope these latest allegations are proven false. Golf doesn’t need a Barry Bonds or a Ray Lewis or a Kobe Bryant image. I would never have dreamed that Woods was capable of such poor judgement. Say it isn’t so Tiger,….shoot dude, SAY ANYTHING !
My point exactly – you’re talking about Major League baseball. The discussion was about the GAME of golf – not the PGA Tour’s version of golf. The steroids had an affect on PROFESSIONAL baseball, but people still love the game.
"this ball will fit in that fairway"
Pro golf
court,….as a professional (teaching) in the golf arena, I am sure we will feel the ripple effect of all this. Perhaps fewer minorities taking up the game, just as in baseball. I’m sure some fringe players may walk away, but certainly not in great numbers. At the professional level this will turn off sponsors and fans alike, but I am confident it will not be to the degree we saw in baseball. Woods has shamed himself, his family, his sponsors and the game. Indirectly, I guess he’s shamed me as well, given I make a living from the game. I’ve lost what little repect I had for him and his game. He is the “phony” I always thought he was. I cannot imagine how crushed his wife must feel at this moment. Devastated hardly covers it. This man’s arrogance knows no bounds. I’m hoping he survives all this, but only because the game needs him. Personally, I couldn’t care less what happens to him……………………..z..
Don’t get too negative on the outlook just yet. Koby Bryant is as big as ever after what he did. Kids still play basketball and the AAU’s are still growing. Kids don’t play baseball because it’s become “boring” to them and inner city parks aren’t everywhere. I seriously doubt people are out there saying to themselves or their kids “don’t take up golf – you’ll end up cheating on your wife like Tiger Woods.”
How can Tiger be a “phony” when you didn’t really know anything about the guy because he didn’t really have a public persona – just a marketing persona. All this stuff proves is that Tiger isn’t above being human.
Phil Mickelson went through this kind of thing a couple of years ago and it was forgotten within a few months and he went back to being Phil. Granted, he’s not the “industry” that Tiger is – but he’s not as good with the clubs as Tiger, either. John Daly has embarrassed himself time after time after time – and he’s still a loveable guy.
Tiger and Elin will either work it out or they won’t. If they don’t – they’ll be just another statistic in the divorce courts and he will be swarmed by another bunch of women wanting a piece of the golden goose. Some things never change.
"this ball will fit in that fairway"
OK court, so Tiger’s not a phony, but he is an arrogant, lying, cheating, degenerative fornicator, which isn’t much better. It remains to be seen whether his wife, Elin, will forgive him or not, or divorce him. As I said earlier, they obviously have some sort of pre-nup and she may have financial incentives to stay with his lying, cheating ass. If it was my daughter, I would hope she would leave him and take with her as much as her high priced lawyers could get her.
Relax 3irons
The public has a very short attention span, this will blow over in time. Look at all the crap Daly has been through and he still has millions of fans. I can go into a very long list of sports stars and celebrities who’ve gone through the same thing and came out on the other end perfectly fine. Tiger will be fine. Much ado about very little……
Short attention span ???
t-pot,…I guess you missed it where baseball fans have stayed away from our national past time due in large part to the baseball strike of 94 and the steroid scanadel recently. Barry Bonds and co. pissed off America and they haven’t come back. Of course Bonds doesn’t have nearly the world wide exposure that Woods has in our game. This could set us back a decade. Woods needs to start talking and shut these sleaze ball publications up. Where’s the law suit ,….nowhere ? What the hell is wrong with this guy ? Step up already and set the record straight !………………Z.
Golf is bigger
Tiger’s week won’t harm golf one bit. Of course the game is much, much bigger than Tiger. Anyone in the last 10 years who said Tiger IS golf has no clue about golf at all. This media frenzy this week is more to do with a very famous man than a golfer. And so called “fringe fans” are more to do with this famous man than golf itself. Tiger has brought much endorcement into the game and many people have tried the game thanks to his popularity. I know quite a few people who decided to have a go at the game because of Tiger but the same old “golf” problems arise…" I can’t break100" etc…many golfers at my club couldn’t care less about Tigers crash…yes they marvel at his skills, but what has happened this week to most is just a news report. Life does go on you know. If Tiger did get caught with his jeans down, well he wouldn’t be the first. He didn’t cheat on the game…Barry Bonds did. Ben Johnson did. Marion Jones did. This over exposure of this sorry week is simular to the Golf Channels constant reference to a 9th place finsh by Tiger in a tournament….it sells. If they divorce, no one will give a hoot on the golf course. This time next year I’ll still be annoyed at Christmas shopping and hoping for a dry day in darkest winter so I can tee it up.
The steroid issue hasn’t really affected baseball attendance enough to bother the owners. Salaries are still sky high and getting higher. The thing that kept people away from that new little league field the Yankees are playing in was the cost of the seats – not the steroid issue.
"this ball will fit in that fairway"
tigerhead,
“this will blow over in time”? We don’t even know what “this” is yet. If the accusations are false, then yes, this will blow over in no time at all. But if the worst of the allegations are true, ie. multiple affairs, then this will forever change how TW is viewed by the media and the fans(with the notable exception of yourself and a few other degenerates). First of all, Elin will leave and take half his stuff and all his children. Tiger will not like that. That can affect his performance and definitely his legacy. But we’re way too far away from that point now…we just have to wait and see what comes out of all this before we say whether this will blow over or not.
I hear you Niblic and sure people will remember it, many will express disapproval, and his image will never be the same, but this WILL blow over; always does. We’ve seen it so many times I could probably write for days citing examples. The only thing that I see changing that is if he pulls a “John Daly” and continues to mess up again and again. I don’t see that happening as he seems like a guy who learns from his mistakes. I do agree it could affect how well he plays going forward but I doubt it. Time will tell.
Tiger impersonating Daly !!!
t-pot,…..dammit, I hoped this would have been proven false by now ! Apparently Woods has been “messing up” (as you say) for some time. Now we know why this obsession about his “privacy”. Another rich liar with a whore in every port of call ? Lord have mercy on this fraud. I knew something didn’t “smell” right about this guy years ago, first impressions and all that. Crazy , huh ? Well," IF" indeed he turns out to be another typical whorin’ athlete,…he will bring shame to a lot of people who had put there trust in him. I feel bad for the TW Foundation and all the people involved who have been duped. Shit dude,…I really wanted to be wrong about this. Let’s hope Elin is a VERY forgiving soul. Seems like a lot to ask of anyone. She must be devastated. Lord what a mess !
OMG!!!!
I’m sitting here watching the MSU-UNC basketball game and my wife calls me from the other room asking if I had heard anything about this TW story….I LOL inwardly as I’ve only made like a hundred posts this last week. But she says to switch over to Entertainment Tonight, they have something on about Tiger. OMG…did anyone else see it? They had this Jaimee Grubbs telling her story with all the intimate dates and details and I don’t think anyone could make all this up. Tiger is in a world of shit!!!!!
I'm watching the same game.
See niblic we do have a thing or two in common..lol I trust you’re pulling for the Tarheels?
I usually pull for the underdog, but I haven’t started betting CBB yet this year….and I may not be starting anytime soon after the huge loss I suffered on NE(not that NE…lol) last night.
You must not have seen the Entertainment Tonight show tonight, but try to watch tomorrow, they’re going to have more. This whole thing is blowing up like crazy after these new allegations. This Jamie girl said that Elin got ahold of Tiger’s phone and found all the numbers of his sexploits… no wonder she was swinging that sand wedge like a wild banshee….you go girl!
None of the analogies to controversies in other sports or with other golfers are apt.....
Because Tiger dominates golf more than any other athlete dominates any other American sport. Of course people aren’t going to hate the sport itself because unlike football, basketball, baseball, hockey etc. golf is a sport that most golf fans actually play instead of merely watch, and what Tiger does has no affect on your Saturday foursome.
However, this could turn out to be a big hit for professional golf, because Tiger is the dominant force in professional golf. There are some (often those who care enough about the sport to blog about it) who would keep watching golf regularly if Tiger disappeared tomorrow. For more casual fans and even avid fans who don’t like watching golf on TV that much, Tiger is golf and they could care less about a tournament he is not in. Tiger is the only man on the planet who can cause a tournament to sell out in a matter of hours when he signs up to play.
If Tiger’s image is tarnished, many will stop watching Tiger, and because Tiger is the reason they watch golf, they will stop watching golf altogether.
casual fans
If casual fans only watch golf because of Tiger, they won’t be around in 10 years anyway. Like anything else, golf goes through it’s highs and lows in popularity, there is no need to panic about it. The game will always be bigger than any star that plays it. Golfers know this…as for the Pro game getting hit, they make too much money anyway. A pay cut might make some play more to win.
Short attention spans
I’ve been blogging about this crap since Friday. I’m already starting to get tired of it.
LOL…and it looks like the story is just beginning. Of course, if I was a devoted Tiger fan like yourself, I’d probably be real tired of it also.
You may be on to something there,,lol. However on the other side of that it would lend itself to my theory that people who don’t like Tiger are enjoying the heck out of this. They want Tiger to fall from grace. They may very well get their wish. Tiger is somewhat of a polarizing figure and has been for a long time. He has millions of fans but also many people who for whatever reasons can’t stand him. Basically what I think will happen at the end of the day is the polarization will just grow stronger; the majority of his fans will sooner or later let this go and continue to watch and cheer for him, while those who didn’t like him to begin with will like him even less and hold onto to this as long as they can.
I think you’re right about some hoping that Tiger will fall from his golf throne. And I also agree that he will continue to have a solid base of loyal fans that will not let whatever this ends up being affect their admiration for him.
What I have always found interesting about Tiger is that I don’t think it really matters to him much at all what others think of him, so I just expect that he will go about his business of dominating the golf world as long as he has an interest in it.
What I really hoped for was that he was going to play this weekend so we could see if any of this would have an impact on his focus on the course.
A Chinese Video!
I watched the craziest thing yet on ABC news a few minutes ago. An animated video made by the CHINESE dipicting the events prior to Tiger’s crash into the fire hydrant. Let the word go out, as of December 1, 2009, golf journalism has entered a new era. As has been suggested, Tiger’s mess will blow over…..eventually, as others have made an excellent case, it will not irreparably damage golf. It will however create a new type of golf journalist, the one that covers the private lives of golfers… Maybe we’ll see features about like divorce settlements….like Faxon and Calcavecchia or maybe a “what exactly happened to Crenshaw’s marriage”. “All Access Golf” with your host, Ryan Ballengee…. Ryan’s well positioned to make the jump to the big time…The Matt Drudge of the Fairways. One more thing…. No bikini pictures on TGC web site…. Despite Kelly’s pleas……
Well said ping. You know this whole thing may end up attracting new fans to the game. I have been stunned at how much attention this is getting, but it could create some new interest and draw some people in. Golf has a bit of a reputation as being boring to some, well this may make it a little “sexier” (no pun intended).
FYI
The video is on Youtube (another wonderful Internet phenomenon). I found it here:www.crazydaysandnights.net/…/chinese-tiger-woods-video.html. Crazy indeed!!!!!
I just woke up…I’m still lying in bed kinda groggy and they have a news story on about the TW affair. They said some magazine(and I didn’t catch the name) had evidence of an extramarital affair and they went to TW and offerred to suppress the story if TW would appear on the cover of Men’s Health magazine(a sister publication), which he did(and they showed the cover). so I finally dragged my lazy ass out of bed and dammit, I can’t find anything about that story by googling. But this just shows there is much more to come out about this story.
Here we go….starting early today….
“Tiger Voicemail — My Wife Is Onto Us
Posted Dec 2nd 2009 8:05AM by TMZ Staff
Us Weekly has just posted a voicemail allegedly left by Tiger Woods for his alleged mistress — Jaimee Grubbs.
Easingwold, (byw, is your name after a town in the UK?)
Your comment reminded me of a story I read earlier this AM…
By BRENT KENDALL And THOMAS CATAN
WASHINGTON –The head of the Federal Trade Commission said Tuesday the agency will study whether government should aid struggling news organizations, which are suffering from a collapse in advertising revenues as the internet upends their centuries-old business model.
FTC Chairman Jon Liebowitz’s comments came during day one of a two-day “workshop” sponsored by the agency that became a forum for arguments among the heads of a diverse array of news organizations over the future of journalism.
Mr. Leibowitz said his agency will examine whether government should change the way the industry is regulated, from making news-gathering companies exempt from antitrust laws to granting them special tax treatment to making changes to copyright laws.
The Federal Communications Commission is already reconsidering rules that prevent a company from owning newspapers and TV stations in a single market.
Mr. Leibowitz said other ideas include extending government subsidies to commercial news organizations, granting them special tax treatment or an exemption from antitrust regulations
While cautioning that changes in the news business must be much better understood before any policy changes are made, Mr. Leibowitz said: “We should be able to take action if necessary to preserve the news that is vital to democracy.”
Mr. Leibowitz’s wife, Ruth Marcus, is a columnist for the Washington Post, a fact he disclosed during the meeting.
Media executives said they might welcome some relaxation of antitrust and tax rules, but they also expressed wariness of government intervention in the news business.
“I think the message from today is be very, very cautious before you do anything,” Mr. Leibowitz said in an interview.
News Corp. Chairman and Chief Executive Rupert Murdoch said at the FTC workshop that media companies need to do a better job of convincing consumers that high-quality journalism isn’t free. “Good journalism is an expensive commodity,” he said.
Mr. Murdoch created a buzz last month by saying that News Corp. may block Google Inc. from searching its news sites. He didn’t mention the company by name Tuesday, but criticized Internet sites that profit from reusing news articles published by others without bearing the costs.
“To be impolite, it’s theft,” he said. News Corp. owns the Wall Street Journal.
Arianna Huffington, editor-in-chief of the Huffington Post, followed Mr. Murdoch and blasted his criticism of Internet sites like hers that collect and link to news content from other providers. Ms. Huffington said her popular Web site drives a great deal of online traffic to The Wall Street Journal.
“It’s time for traditional media companies to stop whining,” she said.
Google and other Web companies say they help news organizations by referring Web users to their sites. “The reality is that the vast majority of publishers want to be discovered,” Josh Cohen, senior business product manager for Google News, said at the FTC event. Mr. Cohen said it was technologically very simple for a publisher to instruct Google’s Web crawler not to index its news site.
Federal and state officials this year have explored how the government might play a role in helping ease the financial travails of news organizations. Sen. Benjamin Cardin (D., Md.) this spring proposed a bill that would allow newspapers to operate as tax-exempt institutions. Congress has held several hearings about the financial challenges facing the industry.
Previous government salves for the news industry have had limited success. The Newspaper Preservation Act of 1970 paved the way for ailing newspapers in the same city to share costs. Critics of these “joint operating agreements” say the law helped preserve multiple newspapers in cities that no longer were able to support them, reducing both papers’ chances for survival. JOAs in cities such as Denver and Seattle have been among the first casualties in the newspaper industry’s recent woes.
That's one scary damn article - and yet...
…anybody who has paid any serious attention to Barry O since he started on the campaign trail has seen this sort of thing coming.
From the Communist Manifesto by Karl Marx: (pay special attention to #’s 5, 6 and 7)
10 Conditions For Transition To Communism
1.Abolition of property in land and application of all rents of land to public purposes.
2.A heavy progressive or graduated income tax.
3.Abolition of all right of inheritance.
4.Confiscation of the property of all emigrants and rebels.
5.Centralisation of credit in the hands of the State, by means of a national bank with State capital and an exclusive monopoly.
6.Centralisation of the means of communication and transport in the hands of the State.
7.Extension of factories and instruments of production owned by the State; the bringing into cultivation of waste-lands, and the improvement of the soil generally in accordance with a common plan.
8.Equal liability of all to labour. Establishment of industrial armies, especially for agriculture.
9.Combination of agriculture with manufacturing industries; gradual abolition of the distinction between town and country, by a more equitable distribution of the population over the country.
10.Free education for all children in public schools. Abolition of children’s factory labour in its present form. Combination of education with industrial production.
"this ball will fit in that fairway"
I knew it!
I didn’t need to scroll down to know this was your comment… Which reminds me of the extreme verbosity we experienced at the Barron article over “there”. TMI man!
“…anybody who has paid any serious attention to Barry O since he started on the campaign trail has seen this sort of thing coming.”
…could not agree more with you, court…
…punkforgolf,
But it wasn’t my comment…it was Kudlow’s. And if you think it’s TMI, then certainly there’s no need for you to read it, let alone to comment about it. I pointed out several times over at TGC that you add NOTHING to the discussion and yet you always attempt to stop others from commenting. But fortunately for you, you will fit right in to BHO’s new communist world order…I’m sure you’re expecting to be named Commisar of Information, whereas I’m fervently hoping and praying that you’re assigned in chains to some gulag.
Niblic, yes it is a town in Northern England. Murdoch was always a control freak…reading your post, it made me think how far the information world has come in my lifetime. The internet is a bad thing for the murdochs of the world…China puts the blocks up, but governments must shake in thier boots when they can’t keep a lid on things.
