Police: Woods Accident 911 Call Made by Neighbor

Moments ago, Florida Highway Patrol spokesperson Kim Montes released a statement to media.  There are two key highlights from the release.

The 911 call made the morning of Woods' crash is scheduled to be released today.  There is one phone call and it was made by a neighbor.

The troopers are scheduled to return to the Woods' residence, after they come on duty at 3:00 pm.

There is no press conference scheduled at this time to provide additional information or answer questions.  We'll release the audio of the 911 call once we receive it.

whats this ?

Elin didn’t call 911 ? But she had time to grab a golf club enroute to the accident scene just outside the home? wowza The plot thickens…

progolf…….It’s a little hard to dial 911 when you’re beating the “grap” out of someone with a gap wedge. I’ve heard a gap wedge will cause unconsciousness for about 6 minutes. go figure.

em66 welcome

Hey brother, glad to see you joined. Your very young looking in your picture. haha. Lots of great stuff at this website, the writers are awesome and very fair about their reporting.

Tiger has stated the accident was his fault. That’s all you’re gonna get folks, time to move on. Even if Elin is guilty of something here, I respect Tiger for protecting her and his family from this. I’d do the same thing.

good to see ya bro, this is a much better website than TGC. The links on the home page are great also…jumpn/progolf

yep

I think most of the regulars have about had it with TGC and will follow.

by tigerhead on Nov 29, 2009 3:35 PM EST reply actions

tigerhead,
There was never any doubt about Tiger being at fault for the accident. And to try to shift the guilt to his wife is disingenuous at best. Of course you give yourself away when you say you “respect Tiger”…LOL…you respect someone for cheating on his wife. And then you say you’d do the same thing…I bet you would!
Fortunately, this is NOT all we’re going to get, it’s not time yet to move on, this story is far from over. Like they always say, it’s not the crime but the cover-up. It’s a sad state of affairs that we have to rely on supermarket check-out stand rags, ie. the National Enquirer, the Star, and internet sites such as TMZ to get at the truth these days. Of course since Tiger is 25% black, we could see the POTUS and his communist AG file charges against these sites.

You know, I've been a registered user...

…here at Waggle Room for a couple of years now. And it’s nice to see all the new folks here. It’s just a shame that with the new influx of users, we’ll likely have to put up with morons making comments like niblic’s.

Niblic, you managed to somehow inject gossip, blatant racism, and dim-witted politics into a single comment. That’s some sort of stupid trifecta. Wow.

This story is far from over. TGC is not covering the full story. A poll at TMZ asking if you thought Tiger was hiding something. 95% said yes. And there was over 16,000 votes.

Police denied interview for third day ?

wow, Not allowing the police in for an interview for a third day in a row is somewhat suspect in itself. Damage to the inside of the home maybe ? Makes you wonder. Glad to see 4 of ya’as have made the move over from TGC. I hope the regulars at waggleroom don’t mind our sudden entrance :o). I also just noticed that peoples comments are posted while you are typing yours, “very cool” Now I need to upload a picture….jumpn/progolf

by progolf on Nov 29, 2009 3:44 PM EST reply actions

niblic

hmmm, perhaps you rely on the tabloid garbage to get “truth”, but I most certainly do not. The problem with the Enquirer and the likes is they report rumor as fact, and that’s very irresponsible. Yes, sometimes the rumors turn out to be true but this is not reporting and can not be trusted. I never said I respected him for cheating on his wife, and that is farFAR from a proven fact. I said I respect him for protecting his family, and yes I would most certainly do the same thing, so don’t put words in my mouth. But that’s what I would expect from someone who reads that tabloid trash I suppose.

by tigerhead on Nov 29, 2009 3:44 PM EST reply actions

I mean they said Elin was in the house when it happened. Yet she ran out with a golf club instead of calling 911. Tiger told a friend that he needed to get the Kobe Special. For those that dont know when Kobe had an affair with his wife. And the fact he slams the doors on the cops again.

by golf-nut on Nov 29, 2009 3:50 PM EST reply actions

Are you...

the golfnut6912 from TGC????

by em66 on Nov 29, 2009 6:36 PM EST up reply actions

Answer the Questions!!!

If Tiger had said in his statement that he did not have an affair and that he and Elin had not been fighting and then explained where he was going at 2:30, then I would have believed him. But to say the rumors are untrue and that Elin is a hero doesn’t do it for me. And now the police are not allowed to talk to them….again…….Guilty of something….we’ll just have to wait and find out what.

by em66 on Nov 29, 2009 4:01 PM EST reply actions

Is there more to this story?

Yes of course most likely there is. But is it any of our business? No it most certainly is not. I honestly believe those that don’t like Tiger, really want this to somehow tarnish his image and maybe it will, but you’re most likely never gonna find out the details of that night. Should Tiger hold a press conference and answer a bunch a questions, perhaps he should but sorry folks it’s not going to happen. Yes, the whole thing is fishy and unanswered questions are everywhere, but really folks this is very minor stuff compared to other things in the world. This is a private matter so move on to something that is actually relevant to your own life and leave the Woods family alone.

by tigerhead on Nov 29, 2009 4:23 PM EST reply actions

de ja vu

Wow! golf-nut: You’ve got it all wrong a “Kobe Special” is a filet mignon of the finest beef in the world. They sell them at the Circle K right outside Isleworth… It’s a very up-scale Circle K…. And THAT’S what Tiger was going out for in the middle of the night.

LPGA next week

Well we will always have the alleged “Sprained Ankle” topic for next week to discuss. tigerhead I doubt this story will end anytime soon. I’m sure TGC will do their best to sugarcoat no matter what, but I betcha the truth will come out eventually. Hey ya Ping, I just saw you post in real time cool…progolf/jumpn

by progolf on Nov 29, 2009 4:39 PM EST reply actions

tigerhead,
Very minor stuff? On the one hand, you could consider anything related to golf as “very minor stuff” compared to other stuff in the world, ie. mideast peace process, a nuclear Iran, the Copenhagen summit, etc. But on the other hand this is a golf discussion website, and to describe this as “very minor stuff” in the world of golf, makes you look as foolish as your name.
Yes, tigerhead, all your posts here and at TGC are the equivalent of giving cyberhead to Tiger. I’m surprised that you didn’t call all of us, who question Tiger, racists….you only implied that. The very reverends Jackson and Sharpton will be contacting you for an attitude adjustment session so you will not be so careless in the future.
And I will be glad to leave the Woods family alone, but then I’m not the one who is causing any problem for the Woods family, that would be Tiger. If Tiger could keep his putter in his pants where it belongs, he wouldn’t be having these problems.

by niblic on Nov 29, 2009 4:45 PM EST reply actions

niblic, giving cyberhead to Tiger huh? You’re a real class act now aren’t you; very impressive. Your the only one bringing racism into this so I’ll leave that absurd accusation alone. And you “know” TW had an affair because you read it in a tabloid? Funny. Maybe he did, maybe he didn’t, I don’t know and neither do you, so let’s not present that as factual just yet. Reasonable? I do know this, what we’re talking about here is a traffic accident investigation and not even a serious one and people such as yourself are acting like he murdered somebody. So yes, I would say this is very minor. Life will go on, nobody’s going to jail, Tiger will keep playing golf. Move on.

by tigerhead on Nov 29, 2009 5:12 PM EST up reply actions

I’m not the one giving cyberhead, you are. If you don’t like that accusation then stop it! And I didn’t accuse you of calling any of us who criticize Tiger, racists, I said your post implied it…“No it most certainly is not. I honestly believe those that don’t like Tiger, really want this to somehow tarnish his image and maybe it will”. The clear implication is that anyone who doesn’t like Tiger is a racist.
As to whether Tiger is having an extramarital sexual affair, it is true that I do not know for a fact, meaning I was not in the room at the time. But I do have a brain, do you? I know for a fact that the NE posted a story on Wed Nov 25th about the affair, and on Thur/Fri Nov 26-27th Tiger got into a domestic argument with his wife. Now true, the fight could be over who is to carry out the garbage. But I have been married for over 40 years and if someone accused me of having an extramarital affair, I would vehemently deny it. But not your boy, Tiger….he tries to place the blame on the accusers. And there are plenty more like you, tigerhead, who don’t care what Tiger does in his personal life. I, for one, do care….it matters a helluva lot more to me what kind of man Tiger is rather than how far he can hit a golf ball. Tiger has shown his true colors in this affair and his refusal to address the issue just compounds his problems.

by niblic on Nov 29, 2009 5:34 PM EST up reply actions

Ok you got me, I don’t have a brain…lol. Look niblic, you have a right to your opinion as do I, there’s not need to get testy. I try and deal with facts, and it is NOT factual that Tiger had an affair, it’s only a rumor at this point. It would hardly be the first time the NE got it wrong not would it? That’s all I’m saying. We don’t need to know all of the dirty laundry about everybody, not my business. Now you want to judge Tiger negatively without all the facts go ahead. I just disagree with you and would like to express that without being insulted. Deal?

by tigerhead on Nov 29, 2009 5:42 PM EST up reply actions

No deal! I did not say that it is factual that Tiger had an affair…I said and I quote from my post, which apparently you can not read because admittedly you have no brain…“I know for a fact that the NE posted a story on Wed Nov 25th about the affair,”. You say you try to deal with facts so deal with that.
I want to judge Tiger negatively with the facts that I have….what else can I do? I can’t force Tiger to tell me his side of the story, in fact, I respect his right to silence. But his silence, as well as his hiring of this criminal lawyer, is telling, and what it tells those of us with a brain is that some of this NE story is true. You are more than entitled to express your own opinion, but if it is a stupid opinion, like saying in your opinion the earth is flat, then I will say your opinion is stupid. Deal?

by niblic on Nov 29, 2009 7:50 PM EST up reply actions

If that’s how you want it then so be it. I prefer to keep things a bit more friendly without the name calling and insults and had hoped you’d feel the same. You know, how gentlemen behave. My mistake. Signed the brainless guy, giving cyberhead to Tiger, with stupid opions. Cheers.

OK

We can play it your way. We bow to your superior intellect. You probably should quit eating those sticks and stones…..they seem to have had an adverse effect on your personality, or lack off personality.

Where the hell did that come from? Try responding with something logical and rational and we’ll get along fine.

by niblic on Nov 29, 2009 8:29 PM EST up reply actions

Difficult

Very hard to respond logically and rationally to a totally illogical and irrational comment.

by em66 on Nov 29, 2009 8:31 PM EST up reply actions

niblic reasonable people can disagree and still remain respectful and friendly and even enjoy debating all while not using a single insult. You really should try it sometime. It’s ok to disagree, in fact it’s expected in this world. But the notion that somebody else is stupid because they see things differently than you, is rather illogical. You should really come to understand your opinion is merely that, an opinion, no more or less valuable than any other opinion.

by tigerhead on Nov 29, 2009 8:32 PM EST up reply actions

tigerhead,
Read the posts….you claimed I said something that I did not, I called you on it and even supplied the proof that you were wrong. That is a fact. And then you wanted me to agree that your stupid opinions were not stupid….I do not and will not agree to that.
And now you say…“But the notion that somebody else is stupid because they see things differently than you, is rather illogical.” …and of course that’s true, but then again, I never said that. Just read the comments and reply to what I actually say, not what you think I say.

by niblic on Nov 29, 2009 8:56 PM EST up reply actions

Useless

Tigerhead…..give it up. Actually I agree with most of his opinions including his political views, but I don’t understand the “meanness” of his posts. You and I are totally opposite on this matter, but we have remained civil, which I appreciate.

by em66 on Nov 29, 2009 9:01 PM EST up reply actions

Ok nibby, do you or do you not believe the story in the NE? Are you on the fence? Still waiting on evidence? Because everything you’re saying and arguing (if you want to call it that) is premised with the idea that Tiger had an affair. There’s no "if"s or “let’s wait and see” in any of your posts. You’ve made your judgment, which is fine with me. I respect and understand your opinion, I just disagree with it. Nothing more to say really.

by tigerhead on Nov 29, 2009 9:04 PM EST up reply actions

OK dickhead, I posted the portion of the NE story below that I believe. It’s not much and I admitted that the NE is trying to sell papers so they’re milking this story for all it’s worth. There will be more appearing later.
And you still can’t mange to read the posts, and I’m sorry if that offends you or your little sister em66, but that lack of reading ability makes you STUPID!!!!! Here again, for your reading(or in your case, ignoring) pleasure is the pertinent quote from above which you refuse to read…
“As to whether Tiger is having an extramarital sexual affair, it is true that I do not know for a fact, meaning I was not in the room at the time. But I do have a brain, do you? I know for a fact that the NE posted a story on Wed Nov 25th about the affair, and on Thur/Fri Nov 26-27th Tiger got into a domestic argument with his wife.”
And I am waiting for the further evidence to be presented, as I’ve said before. I’ve made my judgment based on what I know now, what else could I possibly do? And as far as you disagreeing with me, I actaully don’t think that you do, you’re just don’t realize it.

by niblic on Nov 29, 2009 9:13 PM EST up reply actions

Ok nibby enough of the insults. I have 2 advanced degrees, teach at the college level, and have been successful in the business world. I’m not stupid. We disagree, that’s it. Em66 and I have been arguing this for the last 3 days, we also disagree. But not one insult has been thrown and we’re still friends and respect each other. Get it? You see I actually enjoy when people disagree with me, and enjoy a respectful debate. But what your doing is not debate, it’s just throwing insults at another blogger you don’t know anything about. Have a good night.

by tigerhead on Nov 29, 2009 9:22 PM EST up reply actions

I know plenty about you…you have been caught in a lie and instead of admitting it, you use the sad old excuse that you’re the victim, that you’re being verbally abused. Well, I’m the one who’s being abused….you misquoted me and I proved it and you refuse to even address it. You even agree with me and yet you’re too dumb or too stubborn to admit it. I said and I’ll quote it again…
“As to whether Tiger is having an extramarital sexual affair, it is true that I do not know for a fact, meaning I was not in the room at the time. But I do have a brain, do you? I know for a fact that the NE posted a story on Wed Nov 25th about the affair, and on Thur/Fri Nov 26-27th Tiger got into a domestic argument with his wife."
…and you can’t possibly disagree with that because that is a fact, and as you said, you deal with facts. Good night….get some sleep, maybe you’ll be more rational tomorrow.

by niblic on Nov 29, 2009 9:47 PM EST up reply actions

Misunderstood???

Ok, niblic…..I went back and read all the posts from the other threads and there were no problems. Maybe I misunderstood some of your statements as being mean, when you meant them as humor. It is difficult sometimes to read humor. I know on occasion I have attempted a humorous or satirical post that no one understood and it flopped like a lead balloon. As I said earlier I agree with your position in all your posts, but thought you were over the top with your seemingly “mean” responses. If they were meant to be funny, I missed it. Tigerhead and I have been posting for over 2 years and I think he is a great guy, even when we disagree, which is usually about Tiger. I would hope we could find an agreeable compromise, especially since we now have a new “lease” on our blogging life here. This can actually be fun again. If my posts were offensive, let me know and I will do better.

by em66 on Nov 29, 2009 10:50 PM EST up reply actions

em66,
I have absolutely no problem with you or any of your posts, but when I do I will try to be gentle with you when I do try to correct you.
And may I say that you do not have to do the same….I am a big boy and nothing hurts my feelings. I will say that last post was very courageous on your part. Now if we can just knock some sense into this knucklehead, tigerhead.

by niblic on Nov 29, 2009 11:13 PM EST up reply actions

Won't Happen

Tigerhead is a true blue tiger fan. He is one of the few to have a “fan” interaction with Tiger. Tiger spoke to his son at a tournament, which doesn’t happen often. I respect his loyalty, even if I don’t care for Tiger or his treatment of “his” fans. Tigerhead will go toe to toe with you and won’t back down, but as I said, he is a good guy and not one of the “fringe” Tiger suck-ups. Now, Macer……that’s another story…lol.

by em66 on Nov 29, 2009 11:19 PM EST up reply actions

Alright......

You basically said although we don’t know 100% anybody with a brain can see he had an affair, and you base this off of a story in the NE. To me it’s pretty clear what you mean to say there, but if I’m wrong you have my apology and I certainly don’t mean to put words in your mouth. No hard feelings, I actually find you somewhat amusing, I just have no use for the insults. Yes we may have some level of agreement between us but we are not getting to it, mostly due to the insulting nature of this discussion. Look, Tiger may have had an affair, heck he could be sleeping with half of Orlando for all I know, but he sure as heck wouldn’t be the first or the last. I’m not condoning anything, just saying it’s none of my business, that would be between him and his family. I don’t need to know his dirty laundry. I like to watch him play golf, yes I’m a big fan, but that’s it. I don’t look to him for spiritual advice or for him to be a model on how to live my life. And yes I do think he’s hiding something, but I agree with Tiger when he says it’s a private matter and he’d like to keep it that way. Many people including yourself disagree with that, I get it and understand why, I just see it differently and think he has the same right to a private life as you and I. Hope the clears the air a bit.

by tigerhead on Nov 30, 2009 5:04 AM EST up reply actions

tigerhead,
Yes, this does clear the air a little bit but if I could just rephrase your comments just slightly. We both know for a fact that the NE posted a story about Tiger’s alleged affair on Wed Nov 25th. And we both know for a fact that Tiger and his wife had some kind of domestic dispute the next day and following early morning. I actually agree with you that Tiger is doing the right thing by not talking to the police and implicating his wife in the domestic abuse. (see my latest post at the end of this thread on the latest news from TMZ). My biggest problem is with the way Tiger is handling the affair allegations….he’s trying to cover it up. Sure, I agree with you that he has the same right to privacy as you and I, but that doesn’t mean that this story will go away(again, see my latest post at the end of this thread) Tiger is getting bad advice from his legal team, just like my sticks and stones allusion earlier, I also learned a long time ago that honesty was the best policy. I just can’t bring myself to apologize to you for insulting you; calling you stupid or an idiot does you absolutely no harm whatsoever; I seriously think you are just whining about that to deflect from the real issues. But on a postive note, I find absolutely nothing in your latest post for which to call you stupid or dumb. Thanks for your apology, it takes a big man to do so and I admire you for it. I will try to be more civil to you in the future.

by niblic on Nov 30, 2009 8:48 AM EST up reply actions

Cheers niblic and thanks. Yes, I think something did go down with Elin. I think Tiger’s statement actually said quite a lot. He sounds remorseful and he refers to making sure “it” doesn’t happen again. It’s pretty obvious that “it” is more than the car accident. Glad we agree he should be protecting his wife’s privacy, why subject her to further harm and pain for something he caused to begin with.

In case you haven’t noticed, waggle.com has been over run with comments from a relatively small group. Back and forth for dozens of comments, it’s like a cyber four-way…. Thanks turnover….what a concept, a moderator actually helping a poster…at TGC the moderator would have just deleted all the posts!

And I don’t know who Bernard Darwin is, (hopefully not related to Charles), but the corollary is also true…“Just because a man can make a putt, doesn’t mean that man is an excellent husband, father, or citizen”.

A. I'm not a moderator.

B. Bernard Darwin was quite probably the greatest golf writer of the 20th century, and was Charles Darwin’s grandson, and wrote proudly – though infrequently – of his grandfather.

Tigerhead/Jumpn

Tigerhead……Well if you would get on the right side of the issue….lol…..maybe you wouldn’t get attacked…lol. I agree with you somewhat, but Tiger needs to address these questions for his own sake. I know for me, his credibility would go way up if he just “answered the questions”. If there’s nothing there then he should be fine. Jumpn……I’m liking it here already. We just need Macer here to keep us all humble….lol

by tigerhead on Nov 29, 2009 5:35 PM EST up reply actions

Jumpn,
I agree…we were discussing this in my foursome yesterday and we all agreed not to be too critical with Tiger because we really haven’t walked in his shoes. He has all these women throwing themselves at him and a 2-3 week trip alone to Asia/Australia is fraught with temptations. I never gave into such temptations but then I never really had any opportunity like Tiger does.
Tiger’s arrogance in not addressing the issue is what really makes me mad. We are a forgiving people by nature, and like em66 has said already, if Tiger would just say he didn’t have an affair, then he would believe him. I’m not sure I would go that far, and I think Tiger is waiting to see just what evidence the NE has before he admits the affair or continues to deny it. And as always, he’s getting bad advice from that most scurrilous of species…LAWYERS!

Here’s the latest update from TMZ…
“UPDATE: Here’s how the FHP describes today’s attempt to talk to Tiger: “The troopers went to the house to see if they could speak with Mr. Woods. Mr. Woods’ attorney was present and told investigators that Mr. Woods was unavailable for an interview. Mr. Wood’s attorney provided the troopers with Mr. Woods’ driver’s license information, registration and current proof of insurance as required by Florida Law. The crash investigation is ongoing and charges are pending.”

Yes, I agree he’s acting like a man with something to hide. If however you can believe the TMZ crap, it very well could be an assault from Elin. I’d hide that too in a New York second. She’s the mother of his children and if I were put in the same situation, I’d get very tight lipped. I’m not saying it’s right, just understandable. And again, none of our business. Nobody’s going to jail, life will go on, Tiger will keep playing golf.

Woods doesn't have to talk to the police.

According to Florida state law, it appears that TW is under no obligation to talk to the FHP regarding this incident, he only needs to provide them with his license, registration, and insurance which he has now done. Therefore I doubt very much that he will be talking to them at all. It would seem that “something” is being hidden here, but TW is going to keep this as private as possible and we’re just never going to know. I remain convinced that he is acting to protect his family and their privacy, which I have no problem with. Basically what you have here is people that don’t like him wanting to believe the worst, and people (such as myself) who are fans who want to believe the best. The truth is probably somewhere in the middle and we will most likely never know the whole story. But why do we need to know?? Nobody was killed or seriously hurt and it’s not a matter of national security. The only people hurt here are Woods and his family and they are left to deal with whatever did or didn’t happen. It’s a private matter and I believe it should remain that way.

National Enquirer

I will admit that I have not always been a huge Tiger fan, but I have always respected him for the way he has dealt with the media, his fame, and his fellow competitors. I can’t say that about anything I have ever seen or read in or about the National Enquirer. Furthermore I have been married for 41 years and can’t say that my wife and I have always seen eye to eye on everything. I guess that is just part of life. I do know that if this type of story came out in the paper or if she heard about it from one of her friends she may not be exactly thrilled. I am not saying he is guilty or innocent of anything, but I still respect his decision to protect his family.

by mr. shank on Nov 29, 2009 7:38 PM EST reply actions

mr shank,
I’ve never seen or read an issue of the NE myself, but they did put out the story of Tiger’s affair on Wed Nov 25th so I googled NE and found this excerpt from the article…
“Rachel has even been caught in outright lies in specific comment responses to The ENQUIRER.

Rachel traveled to Australia to meet with Tiger while he played earlier this month in the Australian Masters, both sources said. BUT Rachel initially told us she traveled there with a boyfriend.

In a later conversation, however, she admitted to The ENQUIRER she had lied about going to Australia with a boyfriend. She said she was in the country “for business.”

She also said she was not in Tiger’s hotel. But an Enquirer reporter eye witnessed her IN the hotel.

She then said she did not go to the floor of the hotel where Tiger was staying.

BUT an ENQUIRER reporter in Melbourne watched as Rachel checked in to the posh Crown Towers hotel, and went up to the 35th floor, which houses the hotel’s ritzy VIP Suite. Tiger was staying in the same hotel, according to local press reports."

…admittedly, the NE is trying to sell magazines so they’re not telling everything on their website. The whole story will come out; I think Tiger is waiting also to see how much they know and how much evidence they have before he decides to tell his side of the story.

by niblic on Nov 29, 2009 8:14 PM EST up reply actions

NE in Australia

First, Australia is a very long way to go to forget the details of the trip. Secondly, you’re depending on the same NE that broke the story for the details of what happened. It is of course possible that Ms Rachel did have business there?!? What is Ms Rachel’s motive for hiring a lawyer? I would bet it is not to get all of the facts out just for the sake of the facts. If the NE does get sued (a fairly frequent happening from what I have been told), how much do they have to pay out through a judgement or a settlement vs how much they must be making on increasing their circulation by reporting on this?

Here’s the latest from TMZ….

Cops Pursue Warrant in Woods Case
Posted Nov 30th 2009 12:05AM by TMZ Staff

Sources tell TMZ the Florida Highway Patrol is now focusing on obtaining a search warrant — allowing them to seize medical records from the hospital that treated Tiger Woods — in an attempt to determine if the wounds Woods sustained are consistent with a car accident or domestic violence.

We’re told authorities believe they can show probable cause a crime was committed, a necessary step in obtaining a warrant.

One big piece of evidence showing probable cause … sources tell us Tiger’s wife, Elin Nordegren told FHP troopers she went looking for Tiger in a golf cart, came upon the accident and then used a golf club to break the window to gain entry. That’s a very different story from what she first told Windemere cops shortly after the accident — she never mentioned a golf cart. Nordegren told Windemere police she had walked out of her house, saw the crash, went back inside to get a golf club and returned to the vehicle.

TMZ has reviewed 21 photos from the scene — no sign of any golf cart.

And there’s more … although alcohol was not involved, Tiger was in and out of consciousness and TMZ has already reported Tiger told a friend he was taking prescription meds for pain, which could be evidence of DUI. This, too, could constitute probable cause to obtain a warrant.

We’re told the FHP is pursuing the search warrant option after getting shut down again Sunday in an attempt to interview Tiger and Elin and eyeball Tiger’s wounds.

As we first reported, according to sources, Tiger told a friend Elin had attacked him after she confronted him with reported allegations he had cheated on her. We’re told Tiger told the friend Elin then followed him out of the house and struck the moving vehicle with the golf club, causing him to get distracted and hit the hydrant.

If the FHP determines Elin attacked Tiger, we’re told she could be arrested for domestic violence.

by niblic on Nov 30, 2009 8:49 AM EST reply actions

Great Day

It’s nice to see all the posts still here and the web site working……..Tiger seems to have offended the FHP. They have been “shown” up by Tiger and now they will get revenge. He could have met with them and it probably would not have gotten to this point…..just speculation on my part.

by em66 on Nov 30, 2009 9:32 AM EST reply actions

Tiger's Non-Statement

Tiger apologized for the accident and said it wouldn’t happen again…..What? How can you say you won’t have another accident……that’s why they are call accidents…hello!…….or was he really apologizing for the affair and said “that” wouldn’t happen again? He then addressed all the rumors as being “irresponsible”…..Why didn’t he say they were “NOT TRUE”….leads me to believe they were true. And then he praises his wife for her heroic efforts and said she was the “first one there”……What the heck does that mean…..were people lined up and taking numbers to attend to Tiger?? Give me a break. She was the first one there because she was chasing his cheating butt down the freakin driveway with a sand wedge. A wonderful statement for his suck-up fans, but for most of us a meaninless statement that solves NOTHING!

by niblic on Nov 30, 2009 11:24 AM EST up reply actions

crazy stuff

Personaly I smell a rat and I think the truth will be out soon enough. Was there damage to the inside of the home or blood on something that would prevent inviting the police inside. Will TW attend his Tuesday press conference or even play at the Chevron this week. The boys and I at Sawgrass have started a pool. :o)…jumpn/progolf

by progolf on Nov 30, 2009 10:13 AM EST reply actions

What about the game ?

Personally, I wouldn’t want to have to go through what Woods is experiencing. Has to be tough on him. But he has an obligation to the game , and all this hocus-pocus has given it a black eye. These sleaze rags would have no bite if he’d just open up and offer a plausible explanation. Now the FHP are pissed off and we all know things are gonna escalate. You know, the Tour has been losing sponsors at an alarming rate, and now the games main attraction is coming off like a Hollywood flake,…lawer and all. It’s embarassing to the sport……………………………………Z.

by 3IRONS on Nov 30, 2009 11:29 AM EST reply actions

UGH!

All the funny posts on TGC on Friday are no longer funny. This has become a soap opera. Team Tiger has screwed this up from the start and now they no longer control the outcome. A statement of substance on Friday would have sent the wolves elsewhere, but the arrogance of Team Tiger miscalculated and now Tiger and Elin will pay the price. If she was beating him with a club, then I commend Tiger for leaving and not hitting her back. I, as Tigerhead has said, believe Tiger is trying to protect her from Domestic Violence charges, but that now has blown up. Fans would have forgiven Elin for busting up Tiger, believing she was due a little pay back, but now we don’t care about the Domestic Violence, but the problem is the “GREAT DECEPTION” being perpetuated. Treat your fans crappy, ignore the media, look out for number #1, but don’t you freakin lie to us! Time will only tell if he is lying to us, but his credibility has taken a BIG hit.

by em66 on Nov 30, 2009 12:03 PM EST up reply actions

and then there’s this, again from TMZ….

“There’s something the Florida Highway Patrol wants even more than catching a glimpse of Tiger Woods’ wounds — the video from the surveillance cameras at the family home.

TMZ has learned the home of Tiger and wife Elin Nordegren is fully loaded with security cameras and we’re told at least one of the cameras show Tiger’s exit from the house. We know the FHP wants the video.

As we first reported, the FHP wants a search warrant for Tiger’s medical records. They also want the video — the question, even if the FHP gets a warrant for the video … what, if any, footage exists at this point?

Then again, it’s possible Tiger would willingly fork over the video. Or maybe not."

….trying to be civil here, but if the TW team hasn’t destroyed these videos by now, they should all be fired,

I think that in any developing story, the media (and bloggers) will, when not given all the facts, fill in with whatever theories may be plausible. Perception can become reality quickly when there are questions left unanswered. I wish this had been handled better, especially for the sake of Tiger and Elin.
