The Decider: Is Tiger or Rickie the Bigger Deal This Weekend?
Through two rounds of the JBWere Australian Masters, Tiger Woods leads by three on -10 following a 68 in round two. He's playing against a field that's probably slightly better than the field in Orlando for the final PGA Tour event of the year.
The Children's Miracle Network Classic at Disney World features Rickie Fowler, who is one stroke out of the lead, in addition to all of the attention paid to Bubble Boy David Duval - sitting at #125 on the money list. With a finish of T-12 or better, Fowler will be able to earn his Tour card for 2010, avoid Q-school, and enrage a slew of middling PGA Tour pros that couldn't pull this off in 30 events. It would be one hell of an accomplishment. Not that shooting better than 69 in every round as a pro isn't, but this would be icing on the cake.
But, since we know Tiger is the biggest story in golf - even when defeating a squad of fifth graders and journeymen - I pose this question to you:

Whew - tough call !
Rickie Fowler is the latest wunderkind to pop up. He’s actually playing well and can be the 6th to get his card without going throuh Q school or the Nationwide Tour.
Tiger, on the other hand, is saving golf in Australia (apparently, if he doesn’t win, all golf courses in Oz will close their doors and be turned into prawn farms)…after he and Phil made Asia safe for golf last week.
We can watch 2.0 play during regular non-sleeping hours…Tiger is making us stay up all night to watch…
Oh – and don’t forget that the future of golf architecture is depending on Tiger looking at the bunkers in Australia. (really, they are regular sand bunkers, but they aren’t trimmed with cuticle scissors and have a more natural look to them than most in the US…basically, they look like the bunkers at my local muni)

Your subject line is blasphemy!
I did a quick poll among people who don’t read golf blogs and the results were not surprising:
Tiger Woods (“He’s my favorite”) – 65% of the vote
Tiger Woods (“Who the EFF is Rickie Fowler?!”) – 32% of the vote
Rickie Fowler – 3% of the vote (all 3% had the last name Fowler)
