Crybaby Aussie Robert Allenby is Skipping the Aussie Triple Crown

Everyone knows that Robert Allenby is on quite a hot streak of late at being a dejected, sore loser coming off of back-to-back pastings at the hands of Anthony Kim - both hungover and sober.  We also know that Allenby hates being heckled by drunks at tournaments, so he has vowed to never play in Australia again.

Well, Allenby - the only man to have ever won the Australian Triple Crown (Australian PGA, Australian Masters, and Australian Open) in a single year - will play in none of those events this year.

The AP reports:

Allenby has played the last three weeks on the European Tour – Spain, Singapore and Shanghai – and needed a week off before the Dubai World Championship. He also decided to play in the Nedbank Challenge in South Africa, opposite the Australian Open.

As for the Australian PGA the following week? Allenby said he needed to spend time with his ailing mother-in-law.

Seriously?  Allenby is showing an awful lot of dedication to the European Tour, but nothing for his country?  I mean, Aussies are more critical of their athletes than anyone when they don't support their own events.  So, now this means that Allenby opens himself to more criticism.  Not a smart move.

I guess he and Anthony Kim won’t be hanging out watching Three Sheets, either.

I talked with Allenby a few years ago at The Tour Championship (first FEC championship when the East Lake greens were damaged) and he went on and on about how good the courses and greens in Australia are and how much he loved playing there.

The guy is free to make whateer schedule he wants, and he HAS been travelling a lot the last 2 months, and you know the lads at home would be giving him a ribbing after the two losses to AK – but this sounds like the appearance money was better in South Africa and Dubai. I hope this isn’t going to turn into bitterness.

I LOVE “Three Sheets” !! What a fun show. You can watch all the episodes on Hulu.com

We know the Guavaberry guys really well. Claudine is a jewel.

Plus, the Sunset Bar (formerly Sunset Beach Bar) is our home away from home down there. Mags and I always spend a day or two on Maho Beach watching the planes come and go, but we usually go to the bar on the other end.

The bar we go to?
