Would you call the starts of the first three matches a little “nervous” ? Some really bad putts, chips, and that drive by Mahan was just awful. (I think it’s those dorky sunglasses) :-)

It’s not looking good right now. Internationals lead all four matches right out of the gate!

wow ! a couple of real bombs made in the last few minutes. this is going to be fun. it looks like the only shot that is giving everybody trouble is the long chips and pitches.

I’d say they have the bunkers figured out – Furyk chipping in and Yang stopping a long bunker shot within a few feet.

Dottie Pepper continues to remind me why she shouldn’t be calling men’s tournaments. She has no idea how good these guys are, how far they hit the ball, and what kind of trouble they can get out of while saving shots. That shot Mickelson hit with the ball on the downslope of grass outside a fairway bunker. Dottie said it was impossible to get to the green – Mickelson hits it nearly hole high.

How about Zach Johnson getting to re-hit his tee shot that bounced off of Villegas’ caddy ? I didn’t know that was the rule. (pretty funny hearing Johnson apologize then ask if he could get a ride back) :-)

I seem to be talking to myself – but is Justin Leonard using a square headed driver ?

Only my cat saw me smirk when Leonard missed that 3ft. putt (and the next and the next) – oh yes – I do indeed have a long memory. Go Jose! OK Jim (love him!) and Justin have just gone 1 up against the Goose & Adam Scott, but they’ll be back.

Whoops

Phony Phil & Justin that is. Come on Jim!

Rookies

Great to see Ryo coming back after yesterday. I’m rooting for Sean, however. Do you think too much has been said (particularly by Michael Jordan) about him just needing more confidence? Has it had the opposite effect on him?

I’m pretty sure those MJ comments and rumors have been written into the broadcast talking points that are supposed to be discussed at least three times an hour. :-) O’Hair played some great shots yesterday, and I haven’t seen enough of him today to see what’s going on there.

To listen to the media, you’d think MJ was taking O’Hair into an ashram and getting him into a mystical trance. The truth is probably more like MJ hanging out with O’Hair just talking about things.

Hmm – down 2 to the Internationals – maybe just not a good day for ham and egging for them.
