I Wanna Be Cool Like Parker McLachlin
As you may or may not know, PGA Tour player Parker McLachlin became the first player to Tweet during a round. He did it on the fifth tee at the Frys.com Open in Arizona. There's a lot of buzz about the message, so I wanted to be cool like him and Tweet while I made this video to comment on his Tweet.
So, here's the video:
And to prove that I actually did Tweet during the video, here's what I wrote:

Breaking news!
I just got off the phone with Tim Finchem. I was hoping to get a comment about Parker McLachlin’s mid-round tweeting.
Tim’s response: “Who is Parker McLachlin?”

LMAO @ Matt ! Too funny.
Technically, this IS illegal by the USGA tournament rules – there are to be NO electronic devices turned on during play.
The 5th hole is a par 3 – and they do tend to get backed up from time to time. But does it have to be a “really long wait” to turn on a phone and send a message ? You did it in less than 30 seconds.
Yes – there is something wrong with it. Golf has the reputation of being 99.999% above reproach when it comes to cheating and even doping. This reputation is a GOOD thing. It separates golf from every other sport. Golf does not live by Jim Rome’s credo "if you ain’t cheatin’ – you ain’t tryin’ " – yes – Jim Rome is a dispicable boil on the butt of sports for that statement alone.
I’m guessing that Finchem will talk to McLachlin and remind him of the rule this week and ask him to not do it again and to pass the word on. If that’s not enough – there is always a stern pencil whipping via an email or text…or…god help is all….a memo ! (bring out…the comfy chair !!)
