A Photoessay: In No Way is The Presidents Cup A Complete Sideshow
That's a photo of Michael Jordan and Bill Clinton from the Presidents Cup that is on the PGA Tour's Facebook page.
I could not help but think of this exchange in golf.com's PGA Tour Confidential when I saw the photo.
Gorant: Michael Jordan as an assistant captain also made an impression. It was both cool and ridiculous, and you'd never see that at the Ryder Cup. That says everything about why the Presidents Cup is both better and worse.
Shipnuck: Barf. Jordan was a circus sideshow, nothing more.
Van Sickle: Couldn't agree more, Alan. Honestly, what's this guy really doing hanging around with pros? Get a day job.
Lipsey: He has a day job: counting money, smoking cigars, chillin' in Vegas and playing golf with Tiger and his pals.
And, I also couldn't help but remember how the PGA Tour tried so hard to shield Jordan out of team events this weekend. (But then he made it in the winning team photo anyway.) (And then is clearly a prominent part of their photo gallery.)

My father-in-law was a prominent
politician in Maryland. His nickname was “Softshoes”. No one would remember seeing or hearing him before or after a photo opportunity with the Governor or other luminaries, but he was always in the picture when it was developed.
It is a learned skill. Obviously, MJ learned it…
...from the land of pleasant living, Baltimore.
