Ross McGowan Shoots 60...For 18 Holes
I love watching the European Tour on Saturday and Sunday mornings when I'm not comatose from the night prior. Renton Laidlaw is simply the best to call golf action, and the European Tour courses are a really nice break from the bland architectural rut that the PGA Tour can seem at times.
Anyway, fading in and out of consciousness this morning, I caught the tail end of a great round of golf at the Madrid Masters. Playing alongside home favorite Sergio Garcia, Ross McGowan took control of the golf tournament by firing a 12-under par sixty today. He leads by seven shots going into Sunday's final round by virtue of doubling his score in relationship to par.
Golf Girl has a post up about McGowan's eye-opening round and has an image of McGowan's scorecard.
