There are still 18 holes to go

Lorena Ochoa and Louise Friberg are tied after 3 rounds at the Navistar LPGA Classic. LPGA.com mentions the following information in their round up of yesterday's play.

This is the 25th time Ochoa has entered the final-round with a lead in her six-year career. She has won 17 of those including all six times she has held the final-round lead in 2008.

That is an excellent streak by Ochoa when in the frontrunner position. There is one tournament missing from the list. One the Golf media all but handed to Super Mex.

The 2008 LPGA Championship. After 36 holes, Lorena led by 1 over Lindsay Wright. Craig Dolch, formerly of the Palm Beach Post, wrote on the morning of the LPGA's 3rd round as if Lorena had another win sown up already.

Craig isn't at the Post anymore, and his golf blog was taken down. I'd supply the link otherwise.

As we know Yani Tseng defeated Maria Hjorth in a playoff. Lorena finishing one shot back. I'm just finishing the history lesson of Lorena having the lead on the weekend. I believe the LPGA was the last time it happened. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.
