I don't really have anything to add to a piece I found in the Irish paper the Independent, thanks to Golf Observer, but that I encourage you to read it. It is fascinating how the Euros and Americans have been trying to use course setups to their advantage - and how it is has worked!

who's gonna write the books ?
IF you could get confirmation on behind the scenes stories like this – that would make for a hilarious book.
I would love to know if these groundskeeping tricks were done light heartedly (like the rainout scene in “Bull Durham” or with “evil intent” (like the club owner in “The Natural”).
