Bizarre Turn of Events - Hull Wins CWO
Katherine Hull overcame a six shot deficit on the final day of the CN Canadian Women's Open to pick up her first title on the LPGA Tour and become the seventh first time winner this year.
It appeared that Yani Tseng was on her way to victory at Ottawa H&GC. She began the day with a four shot lead over the field. In a stretch from the 3rd to the 12th, Tseng dropped seven shots (that included two birdies). She could not rally from that demoralizing stretch and posted +5 (77) to finish in third.
Katherine Hull was steady all week. Her breakout round of 65 placed her into contention. In the final round, she went out in 33 in the midst of Tseng's collapse. She finished the back side giving up none of that 33, and it was good enough to win.
Certainly, Hull had some help from Tseng, Lorena Ochoa - who had two over par weekend rounds, and Se Ri Pak - who could not gain any ground on par on Sunday. But, Hull's Friday 65 set the stage and she did not surrender any of those gains during the weekend.
The Hound Dog has his final round recap if you want some additional coverage.

what in the world happened to Tseng ??
Watching Tseng’s collapse on Sunday was just bizarre ! I know she’s only 18 – but that string of bad shots caught me by surprise.
Oh well – at least she has a few things to work on. Those chipping mistakes are mostly practice and experience. She’s one 18 year old who doesn’t have an aura of “is she actually going to work on anything” around her.

Tseng will improve
I liked what she had to say on Saturday about learning from mistakes and experiences. Obviously, didn’t translate on Sunday, but it sounds like she wants to keep getting better in increments.

where's Dr Huffahhuur when you need him ?
He could put Tseng’s brain and hear into Wie’s body !

close - but no cigar
it’s “Dr Michael Hfuhruhurr” who fell in love with the brain of “Anne Uumellmahaye” (the name spelling scene is classic)
