more like 10-12 feet!
The spin-back on Lee’s wedge, that is. Speaking of spin, have to wonder why she isn’t getting the Anthony Kim treatment after her win this week…

why would she ?
she won a three round tournament in Arkansas on a sub 6300 yard course, it got 2 days of 90 minute coverage that didn’t show a finish, and she doesn’t speak English
he won a PGA Tour even in Washington DC on July 4th weekend at Congressional Country Club – the tournament has Tiger Woods name on it (doesn’t matter that he wasn’t there) and got coverage all four days and showed a finish – he hits the ball a mile, has a little bit of flash to his game – and, being an American, he speaks English.

well, when you put it that way....
...now I can see why the media missed it! But seriously, this guy wins twice in 8 weeks and he’s the next Sergio Garcia/Adam Scott? Color me skeptical. Lee beat a Hall of Famer in a playoff earlier this season (someone you asked me to stop picking on a little while ago) and joins Ochoa, Sorenstam, and Creamer as the only repeat winners on the LPGA in ‘08—and only Ochoa has won more often in the past calendar year. Ho hum!
Guess it’s downright quixotic to point out that there’s still no repeat winner this year on the JLPGA—it was Hiromi Mogi’s turn this week to deny Akiko Fukushima her 2nd:

don't give the media so much credit
“MISSED” makes it sound like an accident that they didn’t give the Lee any coverage. They didn’t miss it – they just skipped it. It’s not a women’s major – it’s not Lorena Ochoa, Annika Sorenstam, or (god forbid) Michelle Wie. Plus, the end of the tournament wasn’t on TV – it was only aired by an internet feed.
Hey – AK got his first two PGA Tour wins within 8 weeks of each other – Sergio and Adam Scott can’t say that. That’s extra hype that the CBS and xxx Golf Channel brain trusts can latch onto !! Never underestimate the power of the inoccuous statistical tangental comparison !! :-)
Face it – unless the LPGA is suddenly populated by Playboy Playmates, Hooters girls, and supermodels who magically gain the ability to play world class golf…naked…in high heels – the women will never get the coverage that the men get except on major weekends.
