Can swing coaches actually play the game?
I often wondered what would happen if 4 of the most well known and successful swing coaches were to tee it up. Who would win?
If they were to televise it would it generate ratings? Would you watch?
How about if they were playing alternate shot with one of their best students? What would those pairings look like?
Phil and Butch or Pelz?
Hank with Tiger (obviously)
David with Michelle Wie (Maybe there's a better choice out there.)
Leadbetter and ???

I had the same thought...
...it needed to be a 5-some with Rick Smith.
I have to give Harmon the nod – Leadbetter has a good swing, but he would be penalized 2 shots on every hole – there just isn’t room enough in his bag for all his toys AND his clubs.
Pelz used to go head to head with Jack Nicklaus in their college days. (Pelz went to Indiana) He decided not to turn pro because he coudn’t beat Nicklaus. (who could ???) Plus, he made that 200+ foot putt at Whistling Straights ! :-)

Jim McLean
Might be in the mix. How old is he? Maybe he’s too old. But he has a very good competitive record in PGA Sectionals and the like. Won a lot of those tournaments. He was supposed to partner Cristie Kerr in that $50,000 buy-in tournament that wound up getting canceled …
