Speaking of Cuts, Tadd Fujikawa Makes One

Two weeks ago Tadd Fujikawa won his first tournament as a professional, the Mid-Pacific Open in Hawaii. But the Mid-Pac is an independent tournament, not affiliated with any tour. So while Fujikawa had a victory, he still had not made the cut in any tournament sponsored by one of the world's major golf tours.

Until this week. Playing in the Japan Golf Tour's The Crowns, Fujikawa posted rounds of 69-71 to make the cut and stand 37th after two rounds.

He fell back a little today, shooting 74 in the third round and dropping to 57th. But the 17-year-old is making progress - and playing better golf than he was a year ago after turning pro.
