Hello? Hello?
Wow. This new site is crazy. I guess it's been a while and I apologize. Tell me if I'm doing this wrong. Anyways, I write this from St. Andrews, Scotland, where the wind blows almost as hard as Albuquerque. Some highlights from the week so far were:
1.) My first and probably last ever press conference. At one point, I completely zoned out and until I realized the awkward silence and the heads all swiveled towards me; I had no idea. Luckily, I was able to take Amanda (Blumenherst's) answers and just twist them around to throw together an answer without knowing the question. (Something I've perfected while writing college term papers.) Needless to say, they won't be inviting me back.
2.) The prank war between the GB&I and the US teams. Yesterday they stole our couch. Apparently, today while Blu and I were in the press conference, the rest of the team was busy flipping over every chair and table in the GB&I team room.
3.) Food. Yes, I've tried haggis. Yes, I've tried black pudding. Both were delicious.
4.) First class cabins from Newark to Edinburgh. I basically took two of everything they offered. Hot towels? Two please. Coke? Two please. Ice cream? Ten please.
5.) Hitting 150 yard putts. It's true, you can putt from everywhere.
6.) The Road Hole. I practiced the Tom Watson chip that banks off of the stone wall behind on the green...and no, I did not pull it off successfully after 50 tries. Although Kim Kim pulled it off the first time.
7.) The Jigger Inn. A nice little pub next to the hotel. They must have less than 3 tables in the whole joint. Great place to have a Guinness though.
I'll try to steal internet access again to update, but if I don't get any luck....Cheerio!

Well done !
I’m proud of the T-Joh for trying Haggis…and liking it ! Was it served in traditional Scottish fashion – doused in a couple of shots of good whisky ?
If you miss a little American hospitality in St Andrews – there is a pub owned by a very fun American couple up the hill from the R&I building – at the corner all the way up and on the left.
If you get a day of decent, warm weather – be sure to have a shandy after a hard day on the course – now that’s refreshing ! (besides – Guiness is Irish) :-D
I hope you get to hear the bagpiper playing at the monument by the course at sundown.
(can you tell I’m a little envious ?) :-)
Play great – and have a better time !

speaking of Kim Kim ...
When did she go blond? That’s just wrong.

you ever name that patented hook-skull shot (or whatever it was) of yours?
think it’ll come in handy out there?
